Democrats are projected to win a special election for a Florida legislative district that includes Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, marking another upset in the president's backyard.Democrat Emily Gregory, a first-time candidate, defeated Trump-backed Republican Jon Maples in a race for the open Florida District 87 state House seat.The result is a reversal from 2024, when a Republican won the district by 19 percentage points.

All he needs is 1,282 Mail in Ballots...  Fast.. Trump did vote by absentee mail in ballot.. something he is trying to make sure can't happen in 2026 with the SAVE Act. Trump is now represented by a Democrat, who he declared as the enemy on Sunday now that Iran is totally obliterated and continues to strike at Middle East Targets even in the oblivion they are in.   They asked for JD Vance to handle peace talks.  Witkoff and Kushner are double crossing bytches.

As of March 25, 2026, Florida has a Republican trifecta, meaning the Republican Party controls the governor's office, the state Senate, and the state House of Representatives. The current composition includes 84 Republicans and 34 Democrats in the House, and 28 Republicans and 12 Democrats in the Senate.
