The Steele Dossier was a 2016 collection of unverified intelligence memos compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele, funded by the Clinton campaign via Fusion GPS to investigate Donald Trump's Russia ties. Alleging conspiracy and compromising material, many claims were found unproven, exaggerated, or false by later investigations.

The Story of the Steele Dossier Hoax
  • Origin: In early 2016, Washington research firm Fusion GPS hired Steele to compile opposition research on Donald Trump's ties to Russia.
  • The Content: The 35-page dossier claimed extensive collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, including allegations of blackmail regarding sexual activity at a Moscow hotel.
  • The "Hoax" Claim: Critics and Trump called it a "fake news" witch hunt. Key allegations, such as attorney Michael Cohen visiting Prague to pay hackers, were deemed false.
  • The Source: It was revealed that about 80% of the raw intel came from one source, Igor Danchenko, who was later indicted for lying to the FBI about how he gathered the information.
  • FBI Investigation: The FBI used the dossier to help secure FISA warrants to spy on Trump aide Carter Page, a move scrutinized for lack of corroboration of the dossier's content.
  • Conclusion: While some aspects were not definitively disproven, the dossier is widely considered a collection of unverified gossip and hearsay, serving as the basis for accusations of a "hoax" or "political witch hunt" against the 2016 Trump campaign.
Key Findings
  • The FBI could not corroborate many of the claims, yet used them in FISA applications.
  • A key source for the dossier lied to the FBI about his own sources.
  • The dossier claimed that Russia was attempting to assist the Trump campaign.

Bongino sure has shut the **** up..   4 years he was on the radio screaming for Epstiensaurus to be slayed.

Aye, democrats are involved in the cabal just as much as republicans.  Democrats left them sitting in the file cabinet.

FOIA's were rejected due to "national security" considerations as I understand it..
