I noticed idiots like BV, and many other anti-2nd Amendment advocates still don't get the purpose of it.

I have seen many lefties on TV and elsewhere still getting their panties in a wad over the second amendment, because you know...guns are scary.

So, though I hate how Trump got us involved in Iran, there is definitely a blatant example playing out of why the second amendment is installed.  So far, their government mowed down over 40k civilians. The people have no guns. They have no weapons. They have nothing but their bodies to use while charging into the bullets, along with thousands of their fellow citizens, hoping that enough people will get through the wall of ammo fired at them.

The founders put the second amendment in place in case the people end up under a similar regime. Do you really think the US government will pull this **** on us? There are over 115 million Americans with guns. Good luck.

The purpose is clearly stated in the Amendment...

Nothing to run from.  It is quite clear what US code says about militias. Your best bet is to sit there and shut up.

To be clear...
the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

Are you arguing that the entire population is represented by 3 sets - the National Guard, the Naval Militia and "every other American"?

It is funny how on some issues BV is staunch advocate for taking the constitution as a written and on others he is move on the side of the living document theory.

Nope, The law says what is says.

You have actually two sets.  The organized militia and the unorganized militia.  Acknowledge you were answered?  Are you arguing that the only way to be "well trained" is in a state run militia?
