Actually, he wants you to believe that his father was so important to the overall mission that during the Island hopping campaigns he was evacuated from the beach when **** hit the fan. Which is odd because during Guadalcanal the navy actually left and there was nowhere to evacuate to. The Marine's hadn't captured the airfield yet. And later, on the other islands no one was evacuated. They gave everyone from clerks to band members a rifle because every man was needed.
