Cassidy becomes the first elected GOP senator to lose renomination since 2012 after backing Trump's conviction............................................................ Image   Image   Image   Image   Image   Image   Image   Image

The Slack-Jawed **** was sent packing by Republican voters as he ran for re-election. Trump on Saturday morning took aim at Cassidy, arguing the senator is "a disloyal disaster" and "a sleazebag, a terrible guy, who is BAD FOR LOUISIANA." And after Cassidy was defeated, Trump returned to social media to revel in the senator's ouster, saying "it’s nice to see that his political career is OVER!"

“Let me just set the record straight: Our country is not about one individual. It is about the welfare of all Americans and it is about our Constitution,” Cassidy said. “And if someone doesn’t understand that and attempts to control others through using the levers of power, they’re about serving themselves. They’re not about serving us. And that person is not qualified to be a leader.”

Well said Mr. Cassidy, well said.

Sore loser? I believe not.

Ruh Roh.... Julia Letlow

Runoff for who gets to run June 27th.

Lousiana is dumb as phuck anyways..

With 98% of the vote counted, the Associated Press reported that Letlow received 45.2% of the vote in the primary, against John Fleming, the state treasurer and former US representative, who received 28.3%. Cassidy came third with 24.4%. The race now heads to a runoff scheduled for 27 June.

Where does Cassidy's 24.4% go in the runoff @MR-7  ... Your MAGAmagical skills are as limp as your dick.

It doesn’t “go” anywhere automatically. Louisiana’s system doesn’t transfer votes. There is no mechanism where Cassidy’s voters are reassigned. What does happen is Cassidy is eliminated. His voters can choose to vote for either Letlow or Fleming. Or they can stay home. That’s it. No magic redistribution.....only the top two advance, everyone else is wiped off the board...........Julia will be a great senator.

If our elected officials had done their job, Trump shouldn't have been on the ballot.

Personally, I think random citizens are sorely needed in our political entrenchment.
Even AOC (whom I dislike and see as a complete dummy) does help shake things up and make people take stock of what's going on. She's as good as a game show host or a Wrestlemania icon, I suppose.

Establishment politicians will keep coming (lawyers, corporate bigshots, etc).
There'll never be a shortage of those types.
But, non-politicians (even goofballs) need to pepper the mix too.

Trump's doing fine. In spite of the hyperbole.

Based on the available information regarding the 2026 Louisiana Senate race, candidate Jamie Davis has not publicly advocated for boys or transgender girls to participate in girls' sports. Davis, a Democrat, has focused his campaign platform on economic issues

"Jamie Davis has not publicly advocated for boys or transgender girls to participate in girls' sports. I’m hearing a lot of intensity in your statement that ‘people are pissed at AIPAC. Before we unpack this jerra, can you tell me which people you’re referring to and what specific event triggered these feelings for you? When you say ‘pissed,’ is that your emotion, or are you projecting it onto a larger group to make the feeling feel safer? Let’s explore why this sense of outrage feels more comfortable to you, than citing an actual source or event. thanks

Why do you support men and boys in women and girls sports?
