He said it would block law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration authorities and called it a “dangerous slope.”Maryland wants to become a sanctuary state, and Sheriff Crisafulli basically said, ‘Yeah, no thanks.’ When the state tries to tell cops who they’re allowed to talk to, that’s not ‘progress’ — that’s micromanaging law enforcement into uselessness. He literally had to drive to Annapolis to explain that cooperating with federal agencies is kind of… the job.

I don't know.. Johnny Mautz is my State Senator. He is conservative and religious and pretty much stays absolutely 100% out of anyone's views.
I have no awareness of what the deal is. Sounds like it costs about 70K. Prince Georges has little to do with Dorchester.

That’s a different HB 1222. Maryland reuses bill numbers, and you pulled up a salary bill instead of the one dealing with law‑enforcement cooperation.
