Stephen Colbert announces he’s bouncing and the numbers go UP. Imagine being so chronically unfunny that your absence is the first joke that lands in years. CBS didn’t lose a host... they lost a ratings anchor. Viewers didn’t tune in to say goodbye. The audience returned...like...the hostage situation is over. CBS execs pretending to be sad is the funniest thing he’s ever inspired. They’re already measuring the studio for someone who can tell a joke. The article calls it a “ratings plot twist.” The only twist is that it took this long for people to realize they didn’t actually like the show. Colbert leaves...ratings rise...CBS smiles politely...internet laughs...Colbert fans insist it’s a coincidence...math disagrees. And that’s the whole story. The man walked out… and the audience walked back in

So, let's recap the Ignorance here...shall we.

BV posted...Only the zealously stupid, like zeet and a few other local dim lights, believe that 1.87 has any meaning beyond the symbolic. Supply/Demand stooges who believe POTUS can control oil prices.........

Then he posted....Grifty was the entire reason gas went to 4.50 this year.

Yep.......6.74 million for Colbert’s final episode vs....970,000 for the reruns that aired after he left. Live episode vs. rerun. Nielsen confirms both.

Smug, smarmy . . . repetitive punchlines.
Stupid sycophants needing narrative reinforcement make up his audience.
But you're still 100% correct. That's how **** Colbert was. Great measuring stick. :ninja:
Please seat yourself.
