Everyone knows that CBS has asserted it...
But no one has seen the evidence.

And it would begin with you making your case.

Don't know what you are babbling about with this count.
That's how many seasons cbs "lost money" on Colbert.
Show me something showing they are lying, Askholio.Blackvegetable » 20 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ That's how many seasons cbs "lost money" on Colbert.
Do you believe them?
You haven't shown me **** backing up your number...

And yet CBS and Colbert do not refute the news outlets that reported the alleged loss. Hmmm....

The audience for the current offering - comics unleashed with byron allen - is actually much smaller than colbert's audience. But the show is also much cheaper to produce. CBS went from losing 40 mil in the slot to making 15.MR-7 » 30 May 2026, 5:46 am » wrote: ↑ Stephen Colbert announces he’s bouncing and the numbers go UP. Imagine being so chronically unfunny that your absence is the first joke that lands in years. CBS didn’t lose a host... they lost a ratings anchor. Viewers didn’t tune in to say goodbye. The audience returned...like...the hostage situation is over. CBS execs pretending to be sad is the funniest thing he’s ever inspired. They’re already measuring the studio for someone who can tell a joke. The article calls it a “ratings plot twist.” The only twist is that it took this long for people to realize they didn’t actually like the show. Colbert leaves...ratings rise...CBS smiles politely...internet laughs...Colbert fans insist it’s a coincidence...math disagrees. And that’s the whole story. The man walked out… and the audience walked back in
Your argument and your evidence have serious problems.
Allen is leasing the time slot and selling his own advertising.Cannonpointer » 13 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ The audience for the current offering - comics unleashed with byron allen - is actually much smaller than colbert's audience. Clobert was funny before he sold his soul - so was jon stewart. It was a painful and cringy thing to watch two fine talents become sold out hacks.
And the comedy gods do not forgive. Neither man can get his mojo back EVER without a character-driven mea culpa. And the character required for either to deliver that is almost certainly unavailable to a sold-out hack.
I mean, never say never. It would be grand to watch either of those **** redeem themselves through public admission of their many lies. But I don't think it's ever going to happen - which means neither boy will ever be funny again.
Thanks for that info - that makes sense.
The number you cited is of questionable origin.Huey » 37 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ Broadcast TV’s highest-rated late-night talk show, "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," is being cancelled. Paramount called it a financial decision, but the timing is raising questions. Stephanie Sy discussed the cancellation of the show with NPR television critic Eric Deggans.

Argue with PBS.
It actually lists a number of sources for its figures.Cannonpointer » 32 minutes ago » wrote: ↑ Your argument and your evidence have serious problems.
The problem with your evidence is that the document's provenance is utterly mysterious. It's GOSSIP.
The problem with your argument is that we would have to believe CBS **** canned the highest rated cable show that was making them tons of money, rather than the more easily understood reason that virtually everyone in the industry offers: The show was losing money.

It is backed by nothing.
It lies by omission..
