Please share how your pappy marched into Germany and liberated the camps at Ostrich and Boo-kinwald.

My people were on the German side....they were what you pretend to be now...only they didn't pretend

I knew an old guy that was part of the Auschwitz liberation.
He said the stink was horrible and walking in past the German civilians living nearby was sickening.
He wanted to turn his weapon on the villagers.

Just looking through the fence was **** spooky. He could never get that walk out of his head.

My old man was sitting in an AZ POW camp…

My dad fought in the Pacific theater and ended up in a Russian pow camp and was never allowed to discuss it even to his own family. When he was put in the back of the truck to be returned to America, the soldiers believed they were going to be executed, not returned to America.

Secrets kept from the general public as I never learned about that until after his death.

yep…WWII until ‘46, transferred to England…sat another year and finally home in ‘47…
