They're way better than the bump stock in my opinion. Easier to control. Just let off the trigger to stop and not needing to separate from the rifle to get the bump stock from doing it's thing.PhiloBeddo » 18 Jul 2026, 11:10 am » wrote: ↑ Just installed a FRT trigger on my M4. I put one in a SBR and have another SBR with a binary trigger installed. I like both for different reasons.
The Forced Reset Trigger is better for full auto because you can outrun a binary trigger sometimes. Meaning the gun can't keep up with fast trigger pulls. The FRT keeps everything flowing along smoothly. Been thinking of trying one in an AR 10. Just to see you know.
But for a burst fire the binary trigger shines. A simple double tap does a burst of 4 every time. And you can switch from regular one shot per pull of the trigger or switch to binary mode.
If you're going to use it a lot I recommend a good barrel. I go with Daniel Defense barrels on all of my builds.
Reloading your brass will help if you dont already.. These things eat ammo but I'm sure you know this already.

You can let it rip. I've had barrels get so hot I had to wait a half an hour or more before it could go back in the case without melting it. Literally smoking. An adjustable gas block will help some because you can dial back the over gassing.PhiloBeddo » 18 Jul 2026, 10:50 pm » wrote: ↑ I have a Colt. I have only mag dumped one time and the barrel got really hot. Won't do that again. Short bursts are just fine. I have the model that allows, safe, semi and full. I suppose you can let it rip for fun. But the reason the military went from a full auto M 16 (not AR 15 @Blackvegetable ) to burst is because on full auto you lose accuracy. Before burst you were taught 3-6 found bursts.Squatchman » 19 Jul 2026, 10:47 am » wrote: ↑You can let it rip. Also it looks to me that the rest of the forum just wants to snipe at each other over these guns.
Kind of sad if you really think about it. There could be some learning getting done but they can't seem to get past the hate they've generated for each other over the years spent here.
I disagree and have proven it. The FRT trigger on my M4 makes it almost as fast as full otto. Don't try to talk about what you do not know.
