-------/////////Historians and archaeologists generally agree that the Trojan War was a real historical event that occurred around 1200 BCE, though the fantastical elements described in Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey are heavily mythologized./////////-----

/////--- the ancient city of Troy was a real place, and the real-world site is built on a prominent, hilly mound. Located in northwestern Turkey at a site called Hisarlik, Troy sat on a strategic, 50-foot-high artificial hill overlooking a coastal plain that connected the Aegean Sea to the Dardanelles strait---///

Known historically as the massive fortifications of the Bronze Age city (specifically Troy VI and VIIa), they stood up to 30 feet high and 16 feet thick, featuring inward-sloping stone bases and high mud-brick superstructures/////////

Dragging a huge wooden horse up a rocky steep incline would be impossible, especially when there was an easier way to get them to open the gates

perhaps The trojan horse was a real horse, a beautiful horse left outside the gate and when they opened the heavy gates to get the horse, they were attacked. It makes more sense than pulling a huge wooden horse up steep hills.
