States are putting laws into place that prohibit federal election interference from trump.

Hmmm... Don't know much about Ortega theses days, but I do know that Socialist Governments all OVER south America have moved toward becoming Democracies !!

BUT, Daniel Ortega has GOT to be into his 80's... MAYBE he just knows he's been a tolerable Socialist lately, AND, that his days are numbered, AND, that he MIGHT be ready to KICK the bucket anyway !!
