President Donald Trump has filed an eleventh-hour plea to block a court order requiring him to turn over financial details on his sprawling business activities as part of a $10 billion lawsuit he filed against the BBC.


The president sued the publicly funded British broadcaster in Florida in December, claiming it had defamed him by “intentionally, maliciously, and deceptively” editing two parts of his Jan. 6, 2021, speech to make it seem as though he had encouraged his supporters to storm the Capitol.  :die:   :rofl:  

The original complaint argued that the editing damaged the value of Trump’s “brand, properties, and businesses,” leading U.S. Magistrate Judge Enjoliqué Lett to order the president to begin turning over information about more than 400 companies owned by the Trump family trust.



The disclosures were supposed to begin by Thursday, but on Wednesday night, Trump’s lawyers filed an emergency motion asking the court to halt the order. 

The filing accused the BBC of “demanding a shockingly broad amount of information” from the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, including tax returns, ownership and governance instruments, deeds, appraisals, financial statements, licensing records, and digital asset histories of hundreds of affiliated entities.

While I wouldn’t necessarily rely on Truth Social for facts, it occasionally serves as a barometer of President Donald Trump’s anxieties. On Monday, the needle pointed to pump prices:  “Get your consumer (retail!) Oil Prices DOWN, NOW!” 

Trump was addressing Mike Wirth, chief executive officer of Chevron Corp., which reported record second-quarter earnings on Friday. On the president’s reading, Chevron should offer a quid-pro-quo for all his support and help cut average gasoline prices that have gone back above $4 a gallon as the Iran war drags on. It probably didn’t help Trump’s mood that both Wirth and Darren Woods, CEO of ExxonMobil Holdings Corp., which also reported blowout profits, said out loud that they expect fuel prices to remain elevated. Later on Monday, in comments made at the White House, Trump said the companies are making “too much money.”

Donald Trump’s Department of Justice has been accused of getting in the way of New Mexico’s investigation into a Santa Fe ranch once owned by Jeffrey Epstein.

New Mexico sued the Todd Blanche-led agency on Wednesday over its alleged refusal to hand over unredacted files related to the notorious pedophile, arguing that the federal government has “obstructed the state’s ability to fully investigate crimes within its own jurisdiction.”

The lawsuit claims that the Justice Department’s refusal to provide New Mexico with the unredacted files violates the Administrative Procedure Act and interferes with the state’s sovereign authority. New Mexico has asked the court to order the federal agency to allow access to the investigative materials.

Posting two “before” photos of an unidentified area of the front of the building that shows scaffolding and what appears to be unfinished plastering, Trump said the condition of the area was “deplorable” and has been “for years.”

President Donald Trump unleashed a furious rant about “treasonous leakers”—apparently confirming a bombshell report of a clash with Pete Hegseth. 

The president lashed out in a raging 12:34 a.m. Truth Social post after the Washington Post revealed how he had berated Hegseth at Camp David on Friday.

Trump’s aide Karoline Leavitt first called the report “100% fake news” and said it had “literally never happened.” 

But then Trump’s rant made clear that it had.

He made those statements at the tariff flash crash bottom...obviously the Orange Conman was only interested in "Main Street" and not a liquidity sweep at the 2021 highs in SPX...   

(Funny story, I started buying puts aggressively in March 2025, and I sold 80% of them on April 6, 7 and 8. I had another 20% remaining that got decimated on April 9 with the fake scam "tariff pause" 10% spike but that's a small price)

Agreed..  They should have Tom Petty Not Backed Down.

The discovery aspect is a historic precedent. In light of how much dirt there really is.  If we could use that as a weapon we would totally dominate the solar system.
