Obama is a perfect example of how what a president says, what legislation he proposes, and regulation he pushes effects the stock market. Hell, their was a time period when almost every time he gave a speech on the ACA or on his economic and tax policy plans the market nose dived.

Oh, lord.  Another BV meltdown where he bumps old threads.  BV is preparing for the deletion of old threads.

BV, Since you are in 2014, more than three years prior to arrival with your gang of losers, I am guessing you still have not found that photo yet.  Lmao!

The horror, I used the wrong “there” in that post.

This is **** hilarious.

And yet on this particular spamming repost of yours you refuse to post the link to the original thread which means you have no context.

Stock market / presidency : independent variables.

Same reason I castigated conservatives for suggesting the orange conman was responsible for a "roaring stock market." Nonsense. Had Hillary been president the outcomes would be similar.

That's kinda Level 1.

The markets are certainly driven by a combination of mania and economic fundamentals, but the noise is less significant over an 8 year stretch.

I should have linked to the Investopedia article, because it pointed out how poorly Wall Street anticipates the effects of changes in Administrations.

When former President Barack Obama took office on Jan. 20, 2009, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) continued its credit crisis slump and fell to 7,949.09, the lowest inaugural performance (as measured by percentage drop) for the Dow since its creation in 1896.1 The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq took similar hits on inauguration day, dropping 5.3% and 5.8%, respectively.2 3

Explain why the photo needs a link to anything?

I wasn't...

Your complaint didn't specify..

The link to the thread with the photo was entirely irrelevant, and knowing how you feel about diversions and ambiguity.....and integrity, I dismissed it as a possibility.
