I've long opined that there was much more to the seditious Capitol Insurrection of January 6th, that others, within and without our government were involved. I believe that the office of the president of the United States is, in fact, an office.  I believe that January 6th was, in fact, an insurrection, and I believe that the clown gave aid comfort and encouragement to those people who have already been found guilty of seditious conspiracy for their actions leading up to and including that day.  Clearly, both sides have made their legal arguments and we'll have to wait and see what the courts decide. I am perfectly content to sit back and enjoy autumn in New England and await the courts' decisions in these cases.  I would recommend a similar approach for you, although Boise is nowhere near as pretty as Maine.

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Has Trump ever taken oath as a member of Congress or any of those other categories?
