And the reality is that you idiot Democrats KNEW bringing such a charge would have returned a Not Guilty verdict on everyone charged, which would have made your ability to continue to use that lie that much more difficult in next year's election campaign.

   Lesser charges are easier to get to stick.
 As long as they go to prison who cares what the actual charges were?

That's fine!  Then refer to the riot with the actual crime they're being charged with.  And since NOT A SINGLE PROTESTER HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH INSURRECTION, it's ludicrous to attempt to call it that!

I've got no problem seeing rioters go to jail for their crimes.  Can you explain why the hundreds of BLM and Antifa rioters who committed arson, murder, looting, and vandalism in over a dozen US cities aren't facing the same fate?  That's my only problem, and it should be yours too if you believe that our justice system must be blind and work against ALL criminals equally!

Or are you really not a supporter of "equity" as most transparent libs claim they are?

Of the dead, 1,177 were from the USS Arizona, the wreckage of which now serves as the main memorial to the incident. Fifty-five Japanese also were killed."

On July 2, 1915, a former German professor at Harvard, Erich Muenter, planted a package containing three sticks of dynamite in the Capitol near the Senate Reception room. The explosive detonated around midnight and during a time when the Senate had been on recess.

On March 1, 1954, four Puerto Rican Americans fired guns in the House of Representatives, injuring five congressmen. President Jimmy Carter commuted one of their sentences in 1977, and granted clemency to the other three in 1979.

On March 1, 1971, a bomb exploded in the Capitol building. While the explosion did not injure anyone, it caused some $300,000 in damage. The Weather Underground claimed to be behind the bombing.

On October 18, 1983, Israel Rubinowits brought a home-made bomb into Congress. Her was deported.

On November 7, 1983, a bomb tore through the second floor of the Senate wing of the Capitol. The device detonated late in the evening and no one was harmed. The May 19th Communist Organization claimed responsibility. Susan Rosenberg was associated but not directly involved. Laura Whitehorn and Linda Evans were jailed but President Clinton commuted their sentences 16 years later.

In 1998, a man who claimed the U.S. was plagued by cannibalism and a fictional disease Caused the fatal shooting of two Capitol Police officers. He was institutionalized.

The reason no one was charged with that crime is that Justice officials say that the FBI and prosecutors are better off building conspiracy cases, where the law is clearer, and using cooperators to build the complex prosecutions in order to have better chances of success.

There aren't many prosecutors who have even brought sedition-related cases.

Because (imo) Biden's doj and Garland are too **** to prosecute them as such, despite his recent pledges to hold everyone responsible ACCOUNTABLE.

Another here tried to make it out like they were getting decades of prison time, until I pointed out the FACTS, after which he tried to cover by saying he was speaking of the total time all of them combined would serve, which STILL would be an inaccuracy even if I believed THAT.
