If you are going to completely bury a 12' diameter tube, I would think you would need at least about 20 feet of vertical slope to not have a pump, and then a large enough area for a drain field. Better have a good engineer figure this out.
It's simple enough to do.
from where the drain pipe exits the house you want NO MORE THAN 1/4" of slope per foot heading into the tank.
So if the septic tank is 50 feet from the house there is only a 1 foot height difference.
You can buy a battery powered, self leveling laser level to "sight in" your project. I think I only spent $30 or $40 for a laser level that can fire either green or red lines...found it on Amazon most likely.
It would seem that more slope is better..but the explanation for why not is that you don't want the water to outrace the "solids" that you want the water to float into the tank.
The system requirements for setbacks, clearances, pipe diameters, drain field layouts, etc. are all over the internet too.
At night the laser level can shine a mark 200 feet away..so for less than $50 you can replace what a surveyor is usually hired to do
