So, should we just accept that gas prices will stay this way permanently?

I am just asking, because I would like to see if employers will be taking this account when considering their labor costs. Will employees be getting a raise to compensate for this ****?

Howdy Vegas.
Let's look at gas prices historically...to see what happens after prices double in a short amount of time.
Once the public gets used to the idea that a gallon costs  X AMOUNT...the production costs can drop but I don't think we see the price at the pump drop proportionately.

I think if Biden is in charge, nothing will drop proportionally.

Business will always pass on increase costs to their customers ... They really do not have a choice ... Usually they are quick to raise prices and slow to lower them should their cost decrease.

Basically until day 1 of the biden administration American had a surplus of oil, after biden Executive Orders and new energy policy American became a oil importer...

From what I have read, prices are not going to drop substantially (greater than a 10% decline) anytime soon. answer, yes.

In the state of constant evolution of total sum present, evolving never leaves anything the same as before, again. what is permanent in a constant state of everything never the same results twice?

Evolving new total sum here. No great great grandchild was ever a great great grandchild twice, but some do evolve into 1 of 16 great great grandparents.

I don't think they will have a choice this time. Workers need to get to work. If they are spending this much on gas to get to work, they may not see the poiont since they will be losing money instead of making it.

Gas prices are determined by speculators who bid on the price of oil futures. What happens to gas prices is entirely dependent on their perceptions of what is likely to happen in the future.
As long as the Saudis are pouting and refusing to pump more oil the price will not come down.
The speculators are very sensitive to the Saudis feelings.
That's what determines the price of oil
In my opinion our President should let the Saudis know- nice little kingdom you have here.

Gasoline prices change daily. They are not determined by any president.
If you want to get some of your money back, invest in VDE.

...monetary ignoramuses have no business discussing 'prices' measured in 'dollars'... nothing but $hit can/will emanate from your holes... word...  ;)

...as one brilliant wag puts it, 'they work their sandwich holes about some illion-dollar economy whilst ignorant of the hideous origin and nature of even one dollar' ...

Nothing will drop in price.

The dollar got what little value it had gouged out even more.
Quantitative Easing was the beginning of this multiple year ****.

The best we can hope is that the world sinks into the money pit right along side us.

They did under Trump.

Just get an electric car. Electricity is free. It just comes right out of the wall.

In 49 states, it is delivered by the electricity-fairy. In California, it is delivered by the electricity-small-imaginary-being-of-human-form-that-has-magical-powers.

Yet and still, for the four years that TRUMP was not determining prices, gas prices stayed in the low 2's.

Now that JOEY isn't determining them, they're in the low 4's.

Still, I'm sure that's just a coincidence, and your narrative must be the correct one. Image

The laws of supply and demand must yield to the iron law of your narrative, fruity. The fact that we were awash in oil had NOTHING to do with low prices at the pump...
