Can't can't acknowledge it proven.

”have changed the weapon in basic design…”

If I acknowledged that it would be a lie.

Please choose which weapon you wish to discuss.  If not there is nothing more to say.

That's beneath "cherry picking", Here's a Word.

Kahr K9.  And have a smith addImageImageHere's why:
  • Double Action Only - less chance of unintentionally pulling the trigger
  • Easy gun to rack slide
  • Slim grip
  • Very reliable, robust, well-made durable gun
  • Manageable recoil - 9mm
  • Easy to find fairly priced used ones
Here's how I know.  I gave my wife over 10 handguns to try out.  Out of the 10, the 3 easiest to operate were 1) Kahr K9 and 2) Early Dan Wesson 357; 3) Boberg XR9s.  The Dan Wesson was too heavy and had too much kick.  Here's some other interesting information:
  • The Walther PPK 380 was one of the harder guns to rack the slide - she couldn't do it
  • The Glock was difficult for her to rack the slide
  • S&W J-Frame Chief's special didn't fit her hand well, and trigger pull was too heavy.
The only other gun she could operate as well (maybe better) than the Kahr K9 was a Boberg (Bond Arms) XR9-s.  But, that one's mine, and if she wanted one of those, I'd have to find her one.

Have you tried the S & W EZ options?  My wife can rack those.  But not much else.  ANd the magazines are extremely easy to load.

No.  I haven't tried those.  I will definitely have to check one out the next time I go to a gun show.

The controls on the K9 are simple and easy to operate.  No grip safety or nonsense like that. I did not consider ease of loading the magazine, as the gun is for home protection if I happen to be away.  Out of all of the guns I gave her and had her work the slide/controls, the K9 was surprisingly easy for her.

Some other things I discovered having my wife go through a bunch of pistols - revolvers and semi-autos, is that the trigger pull on most of the revolvers I have were pretty stout for her. And, she's pretty athletic and I would say has average grip strength for a woman. As soon as I saw any shaking going on, I said forget it, and moved onto the next one.

She liked my little Boberg, but the K9 worked just as well for her, and it's not finicky with ammo choice like the Boberg is.

My daughters use the mag loaders that came with their Glocks. They love them.

The magazine has a protrusion that you can use your thumb to slide it down for each round or you can use that piece above.

You guys...
Page after page of this ****. Image

Here's a manufacturing fork in the road for you both:
   -Fit.    -Form.    -Function.
If any one of those three alters a part such that it is no longer interchangeable or ceases to perform as required, it gets a new part number. If any one of those three is changed and there is no effect to the product's use or purpose, it is a revision.

Example for the brain-limited:
A finish or coating may have no apparent effect except it is a revised chemical makeup at its point of manufacture. Perhaps it's better or cheaper to produce.
A revision to the end product.
-or-
A hole is added for a pin needed for certain models. If the hole impedes the production or end use of the item, it needs to be sorted properly to not get mixed with the original design. Technically interchangeability no longer exists.
New part number required. (Original and original with hole).

Even changing the material (cold roll, hot roll, stainless, etc) and the parts are still interchangeable, they will not perform the same. New part number. The end product is NOT the same.

In your pissing contest, try to think of using  +p+ ammo in a decades old gun. It is possible that the pressures can cause a structural failure. The material just wasn't designed with that performance requirement. Even if that old gun was stored unfired, having no metal fatigue.

----

A very simplified rendition. You are welcome to pick at it but I hope this helps frame your pissing contest a little better.

Please seat yourself.

  That's pretty cool!
Just about drop them in.
How is she with recoil when shooting?
That also bothers some people.
My wife can't fire a pistol at all anymore.
Muscular Dystrophy.
But she can use an AR like no tomorrow. It's her home defense weapon.

No issues with the recoil.  It is a neat little pistol.
