No....either there is a rule, or there isn't, Princess.Huey » 12 Jan 2024, 10:17 am » wrote: ↑ I don't really care about your opinion on this. Just understand every time I answer I expect an acknowledgement. Whether you like the answer or not.
Nah, I am not taking demands today. If we are done with Colt discussion there is no need for you to try to turn this into a personal flame war.R.Suave » 12 Jan 2024, 10:19 am » wrote: ↑ No....either there is a rule, or there isn't, Princess.
Post it, and your stipulation.

They are rather boring and redundant to be honest.
My opinions are my own.
I don't read any more than necessary to ascertain that they are still pissing on each other's shoe.RedheadedStranger » 12 Jan 2024, 12:05 pm » wrote: ↑ I'm not even reading y'all's exchange, and typically don't.

i think you should make them their own forum room....DeezerShoove » 12 Jan 2024, 12:35 pm » wrote: ↑ I don't read any more than necessary to ascertain that they are still pissing on each other's shoe.
There so many details left out in the Ruger-makes-a-Colt argument that until they resolve that neither knows the details and there are too many assumptions bandied about, they're disagreeing about fantasy.
I did try to put some logic in there though. Ignored because they gots bigger fish to fry.
Then they move on to their pet project of Rules and Acknowledgement.
I think they should meet, have a drink, ****, then be done with each other.

I have argued with a rotten stump. It takes a long time for it to go away.
Skans what do you know about the Taurus 9mm ...?Skans » 12 Jan 2024, 9:17 am » wrote: ↑ Kahr K9. And have a smith add Here's why:Here's how I know. I gave my wife over 10 handguns to try out. Out of the 10, the 3 easiest to operate were 1) Kahr K9 and 2) Early Dan Wesson 357; 3) Boberg XR9s. The Dan Wesson was too heavy and had too much kick. Here's some other interesting information:
- Double Action Only - less chance of unintentionally pulling the trigger
- Easy gun to rack slide
- Slim grip
- Very reliable, robust, well-made durable gun
- Manageable recoil - 9mm
- Easy to find fairly priced used ones
The only other gun she could operate as well (maybe better) than the Kahr K9 was a Boberg (Bond Arms) XR9-s. But, that one's mine, and if she wanted one of those, I'd have to find her one.
- The Walther PPK 380 was one of the harder guns to rack the slide - she couldn't do it
- The Glock was difficult for her to rack the slide
- S&W J-Frame Chief's special didn't fit her hand well, and trigger pull was too heavy.
Unfortunately, I am not all that familiar with the Taurus G2. I haven't had any range time with it and haven't disassembled one. Wish I could be more helpful than that, but if I haven't handled it, I don't feel its fair saying anything about it.GHETTOBLASTER » 12 Jan 2024, 12:46 pm » wrote: ↑ Skans what do you know about the Taurus 9mm ...?
The G2 model in particular.
A little ole lady I know with tiny but strong hands might like one for Valentines Day

It's been quite some time since I've owned any Taurus handguns. What they are turning out today is much different than what they were making decades ago, in a good way.
This is why I like to disassemble nearly every gun I can get my hands on, or at least look at pictures and videos online that show high-res images of the internal components. I will occasionally buy an older gun just to see how it was made and how it disassembles.GHETTOBLASTER » 12 Jan 2024, 1:06 pm » wrote: ↑ Thanks..!
I imagine with CNC and other advances they can churn out a better combo of quantity and quality.
Our local gun range guys probably get asked this question 365 days a year so I'll give them a try.
