especially for @Cannonpointer ...cause i know yr an FDR supporter (i personally cannot forgive him for entering WW2, im more of an Andrew Jackson guy)
ive just been reading about this recently. THe nazis, especially goebbles, very much supported FDR for his new deal https://mises.org/library/three-new-dea ... -loved-fdr
(they did, however, mock him for refusing to sign the anti lynching bill)

Well, Jackson will forever be THE man, both for securing our lands from the savages and for standing up to the bankers. For me, the term FDR Decomcrat is more emblematic than descriptive. We all go in for shorthand, because it's easy. Perhaps "New Deal Democrat" would be more descriptive. If there were a labor party, I would be a member.

I like that you gather informtion from sources whose conclusions you reject - that is a manifestation of an eager intellect. Reading the von mises artical you linked led me to discover the settling of the Pontine Marshes. I had never been aware of that colossal undertaking
