Being wilfully ignorant is a defence mechanism and is built on the deliberate avoidance of evidence that doesn’t match one’s existing beliefs.  You keep bringing this up and accusing other people that you have classified as your political enemies so to speak. Can you give me examples of this? Like for instance this can be demonstrated in the accusation that "Trump is a Russian asset" that has been proved to be a hoax, and a wilfully ignorant person wouldn't find out the reason why and keep on insisting that it is fact. Another example is "Good people on both sides" was deliberately taken out of context.  What is an example of when this has happened to make you keep stating that your political opposition is wilfully ignorant?

• persuasion by propaganda or salesmanship

Brainwashing is said to reduce its subjects' ability to think critically or independently, to allow the introduction of new, unwanted thoughts and ideas. Can you give other examples or situations where this happens? As far as I know, leftists are not known for their ability to think critically or independently as group identity politics and mob mentality has been shown to exist with: - "Cancel culture" - "Censorship of opposing ideas" - "Social Justice Warriors" - "Prohibition against the questioning of basic assumptions"
