Friend works in section 8 housing management. Nice homes turn to **** in a short matter of months. Not about race, it's about people not valuing things given to them for free.

funny thing, people “fled” Detroit when the auto companies decided it was cheaper to pay Mexicans, Georgians, and other riffraff than UAW workers.

Ummmm, they didn't "decide" it was cheaper.  IT WAS CHEAPER.  And, a lot cheaper.  Unions out-priced labor and companies said "F-You".  So, go blame the greedy Unions, not "people".

Effective farming cannot be done by noobs. It Is actually a highly skilled profession and requires a lot of tools and chemicals to deal with the infinite number of things that can ruin your harvest.. 

Only professional and well equipped farmers can manage to get a halfway decent yield per acre. And they do not live in Detroit (or any city, most likely)

All they have to do is grow and harvest one sunflower. That will feed dozens of people.

Don't rain on their parade.  

...and this one has a "sensory garden" (whatever the **** that is).

This is still better than 3 acres of hollowed crack/rape houses.

There are some good reasons to have a union where necessary.
They can become undying, unreasonable beasts though.

Many examples exist . . . from both sides.
Any symbiosis simply slips into confrontational relationships.

Most of the time there is nothing left but mutual mistrust and an "us vs them" mentality.

I agree.  Unions and the ability to engage in collective bargaining are not all bad, I wouldn't take that position.  However, professional unionizers, union bosses, executives and administrators are all bad.  They exist to pay themselves, to mooch off of and extort companies all at the workers' expense.
