When did workers wages flatline in the US?  1971.  It took two years for the civil rights movement and forced integration to kill the spirit of unity in the US.

Think you can blame women and their liberation movement as much if not more than black folk. They have far greater numbers, filled far more jobs.

womens liberation movement was a social engineering scheme in which the Government spent $billions on propaganda to brainwash women into thinking they were “oppressed”.

What a coincidence that the first issue of Ms. magazine was funded by the CIA and published in 1972?

old capitalism and royalty chain of command system, labor always carried the ball at the end of the chain. today the machine carries the ball. labor no longer needed. give children mental test at birth. cribs for the smart ones. dumpsters for the dumb ones.

Yes it was.
And women went out into the workforce..
And that meant a two income family.. and prices started to rise. And companies  and big banks got richer.
It was also an economic Plot

this article was trying to blame whole foods, but really it was amazon. The former CEO of whole foods seemed like a crypto fascist to me and the employees were disproportionately white.

It has ALWAYS been the goal of the American ruling class to drive down the price of labor.
Before mechanization, it was believed that women were physically unable to do the heavy lifting that industry required. Then things like forklifts were invented.

When Black people were largely illiterate, it was believed that they were unable to do the work that industry required.

FDR saved Capitalism in the 1930's by enabling unions to be formed. WWII proved that women and Black people could do the work that only White men were believed to be qualified to do.

So, if course, the Oligarchy used this knowledge to increase the size of the labor pool, which drove down wages. Reagan was their willing accomplice in this.

What has failed?  CAPITALISM and the OLIGARCHY have not failed. They have SUCCEEDED in raising productivity greatly while lowering the cost of labor.

...as one wag put it, "Comedy is the ultimate truth. Jazz is hitting the notes that no one else would hit, and comedy is saying words that no one else would say.”

...rodney dangerfield, later george carlin, bill hicks, all in the family, seinfeld, the odd snl skit, the republican/democrat puppet $how, etc.,  still tickle the hell out of me....  ;)
