Then, I thought "that can't be right"; looked up the Urban Dictionary definition of Bougie, and it is really a term for someone who thinks they are high-class, but really aren't. Xavier isn't high class and takes pride in living like a pauper. Anyway, your statement is correct, and more importantly will stand the test of time.
As far as artsy fartsy stuff. I have thought some of the russian women to be among the best out there.Cannonpointer » 28 Jul 2022, 1:29 pm » wrote: ↑ What about those little doll-inside-a-doll things? Are those well made?
I've heard nice things about faberje eggs...
Yeah, well, I'm probably pretty bourgeois myself. What exactly is the "middle class" these days? How would you define it?FOS » 29 Jul 2022, 11:51 am » wrote: ↑ bourgoise always meant the sort of ignorant middle class who make the dominance hierarchy about consumption of product.
rather than...say...the medieval bashing skulls in.
or the nationalist ubermensch.
the one thing i can agree with marxists about. maybe at least the one thing. **** the bourgoise.

So, if someone has 100 million dollars, but still want to make more money, would you consider that person "middle class"?FOS » 29 Jul 2022, 12:30 pm » wrote: ↑ middle class is people who think their will to power is expressed by making more money,
yes.Skans » 29 Jul 2022, 12:54 pm » wrote: ↑ So, if someone has 100 million dollars, but still want to make more money, would you consider that person "middle class"?
You did. Why would you waste money like that on a watch? Trying to impress someone. Please tell me you got some wimmins outta that.johndnorth » 29 Jul 2022, 12:55 pm » wrote: ↑ Come on, splurge - get yourself one of these, which at $10K are actually a good value: I bought a Rolex Explorer 1016 in the Pacific Exchange, Nha Trang in 1969. What's amazing is the level of brainwashing you've willingly underwent !Skans » 28 Jul 2022, 5:51 am » wrote: ↑ When it comes to manufacturing fine things such as . . . guns . . .
I'm going to ignore your first 3 lines - they don't add anything to the discussion. As for the 4th line, I disagree. What you have described is the Political Class. Yet, there are plenty of folks in the United States and elsewhere who are not "ruled" by anyone. They have enough accumulated wealth to pretty much do whatever the heck they want to, short of telling others what they must do. They can buy whatever they want, live wherever they want, go wherever they want (within reason) and decide to work or not work - totally up to them. I say such people are not middle class.FOS » 29 Jul 2022, 12:56 pm » wrote: ↑ yes.
i also assume i could beat their ***.
their hard earned money (lol) is gonna be mine eventually.
dude forget class. there are 2 kinds of people. those who rule and those who must be ruled.

You seem to ignore the millions of dollars America spends and pay to Russia for every single return flight to the IIS !
We're talking in the order of $1,000,000 per seat, per passenger !
And that since so many years !
And, by the way, it seems they do not need all those $$$$ really . . . since they're threatening to stop cooperating with NASA from 2024 !
And NASA without Russians couldn't even fire a hyperspace rocket out of the atmosphere !
While China and Russia have done that repeatedly !
LOL . . . THAT's how stupid you are !
Okay, not stupid . . . just brainwashed !
---------------------------------------------------------
But we all know ignorance is bliss . . . so enjoy your stupidity !

Well, I wasn't talking about me or even sharing my personal circumstances. I was trying to have a discussion about what defines the "middle class". For all anyone knows I could have a billion dollars, be living hand-to-mouth, or just be some guy with about as much money and stuff as the average person.FOS » 29 Jul 2022, 1:06 pm » wrote: ↑ i think you are simply ruled but cant admit it because it hurts your ego.
good. it should.
Please, tell me you don't listen to that crap.

So, as for my "ego" - not really a factor in this discussion, because I'm not talking about me. And, as for being ruled - I don't feel like I'm being ruled by anyone - at least not until I have to file my tax return.
