Too bad liberals are invested in progressive group think these days.OlderGuy » 30 Jul 2022, 10:43 pm » wrote: ↑ Walter Cronkite was a journalist.
He actually met Al Capone once.
He covered a large part of WW2
in the field.
He wasn't for drugs, but did think
that marjiuana should be decriminalized
and possibly legal because it was
not at all worthwhile to inprison
someone who used it.
When asked what party he supported,
he said he was a newsman, and that
if you wanted to call him anything,
you'd have to say he was liberal,
that he tried to hold an objective
mind and continue to learn
as much as possible about
everything that affected people
and the environment.
Yeah, he was a trusted newsman.
For whatever that's worth!

He was not a "journalist". He was a reporter. Spoke other people's words.
Well, yeah, Walter Cronkite was an excellent newscaster and of course, he was a Liberal, as he did not automatically agree with the norms of the time, as was seen in his attitudes on marijuana and the Vietnam War.OlderGuy » 30 Jul 2022, 10:43 pm » wrote: ↑ Walter Cronkite was a journalist.
