It was absolutely essential that this country do more about Global Climate Change.
It may or may not reduce inflation.  Compare it to the sort of bill that Trump got passed; he allowed the meatpacking companies to write their own very lax regulations on Covid precautions and 18,000 workers died. This was based on a bogus claim that there was going to be a "meat shortage". And then there was Trump's tax cuts, which benefited the rich much more.

We offshored our polluting industries at the expense of national security. Anything done to address pollution in the United States is a wasted effort. Shouldn't we prioritize cleaning up the messes we are paying to create in Asia? Anything done domestically is nothing but feel good virtue signaling, and that is if you buy the absurd notion that plant food is a threat to life on earth.

First, Global Climate change has been going on for the last 20-25,000 YEARS... What you say MIGHT be true IF "Climate Change" began within the last 100-120 years?  THEN I could buy what you say... BUT, the PROOF is CLEAR... Global Warming HAS been going on for THOUSANDS of YEARS, AND, the HAS Cycled Warmer, and Colder MANY TIMES... WITHIN the current ice age, which  began over 2 million years ago... Under THESE circumstances... your logic makes no sense !

Second, COVID is a virus... it is a virus MUCH like the Spanish Flu virus, that killed millions in the 1918 to 1920's... When the public achieved a "Herd Immunity", the Spanish flu turned into just another FLU... So will COVID... and it is ALREADY happening.  So, CREATING "un-neccessary" COVID restrictions to CONTROL the population, when the virus is simply RUNNING it's natural course, is RIDICULOUS !

Oh, ****!   Carbon dioxide may be good for plants, but more of it in the atmosphere causes heat to be retained, and hence you get "global warming". We are animals, not plants, and what is best for plants is not necessarily good for us.

Companies (not 'we', corporations) offshored the creation of plastics and athletic shoes in order to avoid OSHA regulations. Were plastics and track shoes "national security"?   Corporations also bought computer chips abroad because they were slightly cheaper there and now our country does not manufacture the needed number in the needed quantities.
You cannot blame the Democrats or the government for that.
You cannot blame the people for buying imported goods.
You can only blame the unregulated capitalist system.
Note that Trump wanted to lift even MORE regulations. And what we need is more at least in some areas.
Republicans invite lobbyists to write their own regulations. Trump invited Perdue, Tysom and the other meat processors to write Covid regulations and  about 18,000 people died. This would have been LESS had better regulations and strategic plant closings had occurred.

Increasing the percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere causes global warming.  Water is not the problem.

Co2 is not the problem. We are at a geological low point. A point where strong fertilizers and supplemental co2 has to be used to get reasonable crop yields. We can certainly destroy regional environments, we can pollute like no other. Real environmental disasters are being short changed to fight the climate change boogeyman, whose only cure seems to be sending more money to the government. AGW operates far more like a religion than a science. Dogma is recited, any dissent or disagreement crushed as apostasy, paying of sin taxes.
