When I created my first thread on what Republicans are doing to education in America, I called it an assault.
However that assault has since become an all out, uncloaked in dog-whistle subterfuge, WAR... on not only education, but on KNOWLEDGE ITSELF.
Back then I spoke of right wing threats to teachers and administrators as to what could and couldn't be taught, laws limiting and dictating curriculum, hate base demagoguery that demonized minorities, transgenders, and gays, right winged efforts to monitor, police, report, and even prosecute educators and administrators,
and the resultant exodus of teachers and administrators BECAUSE of it.
And NOW that war has ALSO devolved into attacks, intimidation, and even violent threats, directed not only at teachers and school administrators, but toward school board members, elected representatives, libraries, librarians...
and EVEN STUDENTS THEMSELVES.
Ever notice people of character take their careers denying how living actually exists kinetically evolving in series parallel displacement calling mutually evolving as one of a kind alternate realities by vernacular tribalism and parallel universes within same species each generation gap lived or living currently here as all anyone needs to know about cradle to grave craving more out of life than limited to mutually evolving forward now.

Ironically B.See is actually identifying the behavior of the democrats assault on education...then projecting it onto republicans.
I challenged B.See on a new thread today asking him to post real evidence of his claims. He never showed up.

What needs to happen to American education, if our children are ever again going to be able to compete with with the Asians, the Indians, and the Europeans in math and science, is the end of all state and local level control of American public education. **** fanatic christians and asshole history revisionists who control red state and red local schoolboards are the reason for this ****. All control, all curriculum decisions, all teacher employment decisions, all money per student guidelines...everything related to elementary through high school public education needs to be under the control of the central government. Just like it is in all the first world countries who's kids are kicking our kid's asses in math and science and have been for decades now.

Christian schools do not produce students who compete any better with European and Asian students than public schools. And there's all that teaching of Adam and Eve in alleged science classes in the Christian schools.
Every American child should have the same amount of dollars spent on them per diem, regardless of where they live, regardless of the real estate tax revenue where they live. And teachers working on the south side and west side of Chicago should get the same pay for the same educational credentials as those teaching in Highland Park.

Every kid from every locale should get an identical curriculum - notwithstanding kids in Los Angeles and New York are growing up to face a very different world than kids from Texarkana and Des Moines. You would chet those big city kids by preparing them for life in a rural area, Skeet.
