Do you know how to shuck an ear of corn without making a mess? GREAT TRICK. Much as I dislike her- it came from Martha Stewart.Xavier_Onassis » 24 Aug 2022, 10:15 am » wrote: ↑ Traditionally the corn stalks are ground up and returned to the soil..to replenish the land for next years crop.
What happens to the nutritional value of the stalks when the sugars are extracted for ethanol ...?
NOPE!
You cannot make alcohol from cane without squeezing the cane, preferably as soon after cutting it as possible. The squeezed cane is called bagasse. It is traditionally dried out and used as fuel to boil the cane juice into molasses, The ashes from the burned cane are used to fertilize the soil.
Corn is much less efficient for producing ethanol than sugar cane. The main reason that we are still adding ethanol to gasoline is because of the Iowa Primaries, where candidates from both parties are obliged to support the corn fuel subsidy.
Only the corn kernels are used to create ethanol. A corn harvester removes the cobs and another machine is used to remove the kernels from the cob. The corn stalks are left in the filed and plowed under.
I believe this link suggests that using bacteria to eat away at dissolved ethanol found in the water.GHETTOBLASTER » 24 Aug 2022, 10:03 am » wrote: ↑ I trust the petro-chemical engineers reasoning for adding 10% alky to the mix...but MY CONCERN is that the corn stalks are supposed to go right back into the ground to complete the natural cycle after the ears are harvested.
Using the stalks to make billions of gallons of alky disrupts the natural cycle.
You realize that every gram of weight in those stalks came from either water or the dirt they grew from...right...?
Where is the replacement dirt going to come from if the entire stalk isn't returned TO THE DIRT...?
I am sick and tired of pointing out that you are lying, racist homophobic Trumphugging FRAUD every day.GHETTOBLASTER » 24 Aug 2022, 10:06 am » wrote: ↑ LOOK **** HEAD...I JUST ROUNDED OFF THAT FIGURE FOR YOU....BUT YES IT TAKES ROUGHLY TWICE AS MUCH ETHANOL TO GO THE SAME DISTANCE AS IT DOES STRAIGHT GASOLINE.

No one actually runs vehicles on 100% alcohol, anyway.
You are a vile and disgusting BLIGHT on this forum
YES..GASOLINE PROVIDES TWICE THE MILEAGE THAT ETHANOL DOES..AS USUAL YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.Xavier_Onassis » 24 Aug 2022, 10:38 am » wrote: ↑ I am sick and tired of pointing out that you are lying, racist homophobic Trumphugging FRAUD every day.
Wonder what you gonna do with the millions . . . or more likely billions of batteries, once they're discarded ?Pastafarian » 23 Aug 2022, 4:18 pm » wrote: ↑ This study say e10 fuel is the most energy efficient. it’s a biofuel most used in the UK right now.

Alkaline and carbon batteries COULD be recycled, but they aren't.JinnMartini » 24 Aug 2022, 11:40 am » wrote: ↑ Wonder what you gonna do with the millions . . . or more likely billions of batteries, once they're discarded ?
Good question.JinnMartini » 24 Aug 2022, 11:40 am » wrote: ↑ Wonder what you gonna do with the millions . . . or more likely billions of batteries, once they're discarded ?
OMG!Xavier_Onassis » 24 Aug 2022, 11:34 am » wrote: ↑
WHERE DOES THE CARBON COME FROM?
It is NOT in the soil?
The Carbon comes from the AIR, of course!
Every tree, every plant you see that contains Carbon got nearly all of it from the atmosphere!
All forms of alcohol are composed ot the same three elements: Hydrogen, Oxygen and Carbon. Hydrogen and Oxygen come from water, Carbon comes from the AIR! Trace elements come from the soil.
No matter the topic . . . you always know better !Xavier_Onassis » 24 Aug 2022, 12:03 pm » wrote: ↑ Alkaline and carbon batteries COULD be recycled, but they aren't.
When you replace the battery in your car, the lead is nearly ALWAYS recycled.
Usually the entire battery is reconditioned,
I always replace my car batteries with recycled 12v batteries. $29.95 vs $95.98 for a new one
The new battery lasts for average of five years, the recycled one for at least four.
The Lithium in a Lithium battery is not consumed, so it can be recycled.
It is simply a matter of inventing an efficient way to do this.
And the link for this is where?JinnMartini » 24 Aug 2022, 11:50 am » wrote: ↑ Solar panels need maintenance, retard !
They need to be wiped clean every couple of weeks.
This is labor-intensive work and every so often need to be replaced !
You must be really retarded !
So you got nothing but gonna sell it anyway.JinnMartini » 24 Aug 2022, 6:44 pm » wrote: ↑ You must be really retarded !
Even the windshield of your car needs to be wiped clean at least every 2 weeks !

Traditionally the corn stalk is not leeched of it's sugar content to make alchol you stupid POS....it is ground up and returned to the land "as is"..you dumb ****.
You liberals will buy anyrhing !
