“‘The trouble with almost all environmental problems,’ says Paul R. Ehrlich, the population biologist, ‘is that by the time we have enough evidence to convince people, you’re dead. … We must realize that unless we are extremely lucky, everybody will disappear in a cloud of blue steam in 20 years.’” —The New York Times, 1969.

“No real action has been taken to save the environment, [Ehrlich] maintains. And it does need saving. Ehrlich predicts that the oceans will be as dead as Lake Erie in less than a decade.” —Redlands Daily Facts, 1970.

“Scientist Predicts a New Ice Age by 21st Century: Air pollution may obliterate the sun and cause a new ice age in the first third of the next century. … If the current rate of increase in electric power generation continues, the demands for cooling water will boil dry the entire flow of the rivers and streams of continental United States. … By the next century ‘the consumption of oxygen in combustion processes, world-wide, will surpass all of the processes which return oxygen to the atmosphere.’” —The Boston Globe, 1970.

“The world could be as little as 50 or 60 years away from a disastrous new ice age, a leading atmospheric scientist predicts. … ‘In the next 50 years,’ the fine dust man constantly puts into the atmosphere by fossil fuel-burning could screen out so much sunlight that the average temperature could drop by six degrees. If sustained ‘over several years’—‘five to 10,’ he estimated—‘such a temperature decrease could be sufficient to trigger an ice age!’” —Washington Post, Times Herald, 1971.

“Dear Mr. President: … We feel obliged to inform you on the results of the scientific conference held here recently. … The main conclusion of the meeting was that a global deterioration of climate, by order of magnitude larger than any hitherto experienced by civilized mankind, is a very real possibility and indeed may be due very soon. The cooling has natural cause and falls within the rank of processes which produced the last ice age.

… The present rate of the cooling seems fast enough to bring glacial temperatures in about a century.” —Brown University, Department of Geological Sciences, 1972.

“However widely the weather varies from place to place and time to time, when meteorologists take an average of temperatures around the globe they find that the atmosphere has been growing gradually cooler for the past three decades. The trend shows no indication of reversing.

“Climatological Cassandras are becoming increasingly apprehensive, for the weather aberrations they are studying may be the harbinger of another ice age. Telltale signs are everywhere—from the unexpected persistence and thickness of pack ice in the waters around Iceland to the southward migration of a warmth-loving creature like the armadillo from the Midwest. Since the 1940s the mean global temperature has dropped about 2.7 [degrees] F. Although that figure is at best an estimate, it is supported by other convincing data. When Climatologist George J. Kukla of Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory and his wife Helena analyzed satellite weather data for the Northern Hemisphere, they found that the area of the ice and snow cover had suddenly increased by 12% in 1971 and the increase has persisted ever since. Areas of Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic, for example, were once totally free of any snow in summer; now they are covered year round.” —Time magazine, 1974.

“A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.” —Associated Press, 1989.

“Unless drastic measures to reduce greenhouse gases are taken within the next 10 years, the world will reach a point of no return.” —former Vice President Al Gore, 2006.

“The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.” —Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., 2019.

Generations of school children and gullible adults have been **** to these LIES. Some of today's ignorant kids (having been taught nothing real) really think the earth has only 12 years left. And the lapdog media insists it all settled science.

I think that the stupid politics and the insane threat of blowing it all up is a bigger threat to the earth.

Think the overreaction to covid19 caused more people to question the experts. To question science driven by political agenda.

These goofballs are so sure of themselves they cannot see that they are more Carnival Barker than credible.

So who is actually more stupid? These assholes or the people that lap that **** up?

We're all gonna die (again) by the end of the world.

Just like economic decline has some people hoarding and hoping for America's collapse.
Someday they'll be right... That prediction has been pushed for quite a few decades.

I always wonder what frail mental state must people be in to act like a camper in a tent at night.
That noise might be a bear... might be a raccoon... or the wind...

Oreshkin is probably right.  I think the coming food shortage/inflation in the US was intentional.

I remember reading a article back in the 70's that said the US had enough wheat in storage to make the equivalent of 10 loaves for bread for every man, woman and child on earth.

So, it's a manufactured "ecological crisis".

The earth will be under a one world government at some point.
Doesn't matter who likes it or not. How it occurs is the true sticking point.

Forced multiculturalism is a bad way to go.
Monopolistic and overlord type corporations are also horrible.
It's all marketing. Political correctness rules. People do not think for themselves.

--
Washington Post 1947 article excerpt:

In the days when Stalin was Commissar of Munitions, a meeting was held of the highest ranking Commissars, and the principal matter for discussion was the famine then prevalent in the Ukraine. One official arose and made a speech about this tragedy — the tragedy of having millions of people dying of hunger. He began to enumerate death figures … Stalin interrupted him to say: “If only one man dies of hunger, that is a tragedy. If millions die, that’s only statistics.”
--

Perception becomes reality. Doesn't matter how the food shortage occurs. There simply is no food.
People can be made to believe it was climate or the earth simply cannot sustain this much human life.
When it is actually induced purposely, then there never was a problem per se.

It is plain old power, manipulation, good old-fashioned corruption. Tragedy? Nah. Just a re-run.
Please seat yourself.

I believe this is why Democrat politicians have zero interest in truly educating the tens of millions of school kids currently attending urban public schools.  Keeping people ignorant is the best way to establish complete control over them and indoctrinate them in their lies to be spread throughout the country.

Could be. Although I could never figure out why these suckups feel it necessary to ***-kiss.

There's not a requirement to be for welfare/freebies when applying for it.
You can be the biggest right wing redneck in the world and still qualify.

How many phonies advocate gun control but still own lots of guns?

What you bray about and cultivate as an image for family and friends means nothing.

That is the opposite of what I'm saying.

People may think that but who checks on this?
Even if they did, they cannot slash your freebies because you voted "improperly".

It is and has always been a big money grab. Politicians pay billions of dollars out to their corporate and individual supporters based on jinning up environmental fears in voters.

Does anyone remember the crying indian commercials?

Ok...  I can give you an example.  Take these ESG scores. The gubmint is strong arming companies to adopt this environmental crap. A lot of the CEO's dont want to do it. They go along to get along. They get punished economically if they DONT.
oil companies.. The large banks are refusing them loans.
Now why they would even need a loan- I don't know?
But I did hear it costs billions to get new oil rigs up and running. loans cut off.
ESG- Environmental -Social- Corporate Governance
Name says it all.
and these clowns like the ones in power.
Are like cultists on this ****.
edit-
and the social is all this gay and tranny agenda they are pushing.. look at disney.
