Is that what y'all call vegetables - "weeds"? When I was a kid, we lived on an oversized drainage swamp. My folks like to say they had lake front property - but anyone who ever saw it would chuckle at that. Weeds, trees, and all sorts of vines 'n whatnot would grow all out of control in our backyard, so when I wanted to earn a little money, I'd go 'n clear it all out using something that sort of resembled a short bladed sythe. My mom thought that was too easy, and told me to pull those weed by the roots, 'n not to just chop them down - said she'd pay me a nickle for every weed I got with roots, but she'd make me count it out. I did that once, and made less than when I cleared out everything with the sythe.

One of the big government programs I like was kicked off by bubba clinton. The feds match the states dollar for dollar every year to repair their "most dangerous mile" of road. Lotta lives saved by that program - especially in the first 5-10 years.
I don't worry about big government or small government. That's all relative. I care about GOOD government. And the better it is, the more I like it.
Problem is, we don't have good government - so smaller is preferable. Of course, you want MORE government. "Let's send money to ****, so THEY can have socialized medicine. Let's send money to ukraine - they need to pay for THEIR government health care, and the founders truly wanted Americans to guard socialist Ukraine. It's what the Constitution is all about." I don't believe in giving any money out to any nation without getting something in return. That's just **** you make up in your own head. They were going to grow a garden.. On an old rutted- bad dirt -potato field.

One of the best real world examples of the value or trade I've read in quite some time. LOL But on the other hand. We rented an ol farmhouse... and the man that lived there before us for years planted flowers? Tons_all kinds.. He had that dirt -so furtile. At that old farmhouse.
We went out for kicks and bought 6 tomato plants.. Dug a simple hole in that lawn and IN the grass..... and grew hundreds of pounds of tomatoes.
