Paris is total **** . . . and Amsterdam is cool only if you're into drugs !

I did my European tours in the 90s. From what I hear everything south of Oslo seems like a Muslim ****.JinnMartini » 06 Sep 2022, 8:25 pm » wrote: ↑ Forget it

Or just for fun !
From Florence down . . . it's not really Italy anymore!
It's a muslime **** !

The only thing even remotely interesting in England is Stonehenge.
You can stand in some **** cathedral or manor house or castle until your back aches, while some fop natters about dead people. Or you can spend a mortgage payment chasing girls with daddy issues and not THAT bad of teeth...Pastafarian » 07 Sep 2022, 7:03 am » wrote: ↑ The only thing even remotely interesting in England is Stonehenge.
Edinburgh in Scotland is a nice city even if it was expensive.
I know you have German ancestry.Cannonpointer » 07 Sep 2022, 7:07 am » wrote: ↑ You can stand in some **** cathedral or manor house or castle until your back aches. Or you can spend a mortgage payment chasing girls with daddy issues and not THAT bad of teeth...
I will say, I felt like a movie star in London. I don't believe I was ever off camera, even when I was laying cable after paying good money for bad food...
Got some of the irish in me, too - though I'm not overly proud of it. Hardly a glorious history there. The guatemala of europe, though, thankfully, murder-free in the republic - and even in the nine northern counties, lately.Pastafarian » 07 Sep 2022, 7:11 am » wrote: ↑ I know you have German ancestry.
Berlin is my favorite city in Europe. Ground zero for the story of the twentieth century. Loved it.
I’ve been to Berlin three times for a total of two months.Cannonpointer » 07 Sep 2022, 7:21 am » wrote: ↑ Got some of the irish in me, too - though I'm not overly proud of it. My fave is A-dam, but I've not been to Berlin. If I had, it might have been my favorite, as well.
Why would anyone who likes to spew Nazi comments visit Anne Frank's house?Cannonpointer » 06 Sep 2022, 7:18 pm » wrote: ↑ Canada is also rough on background checks - had a pal denied entry for an excellent job in computers: a real opportunity for him.
If you're gonna do Europe, I can tell you that Paris is fantastic. London sucks *** - costs ten bucks to buy a coke. And the people are pigs. In Paris, they are warm and decent folks.
In Italy, you wanna see Florence. It's small, but man, it's nice. It's the Carmel of Italy. You should try to make a side trip to Amsterdam. That city is its own thing. But if you visit the Anne Frank house don't make ANY pro-Nazi comments. Zero sense of humor about that. If you DO make such comments, do it AFTER you've seen the place. They give ya your money back when they ask you to "Leave, and never return."
The people to avoid in Europe are the Gypsies that hang out around tourist sites. They are far better at picking pockets and purse-snatching that anyone anywhere in the US. Most are from Eastern Europe.FOS » 06 Sep 2022, 8:38 pm » wrote: ↑ I did my European tours in the 90s. From what I hear everything south of Oslo seems like a Muslim ****.

Most tourists only visit a small number of urban locations and rarely see the whole country. I spent a couple of weeks in a very small village in the foothills of the Pyrenees near Pau, talking with the locals. Not like Paris at all, other than everyone speaking French.
Immigrants tend to stay in the larger cities, because that is where the jobs are. Most Muslim immigrants are not typical of the places that they came from, often they left Algeria, Tunisia, Libya,Egypt, Turkey, Syria because they were persecuted.
