I remember ads for a quite small windmill (probably from Mother Earth News in the early 1970s), that rather than being a water pump was an air compressor. I think it worked on most any depth well that had a sound drive shoe under the casing.sootedupCyndi » 13 Sep 2022, 3:15 pm » wrote: ↑ That would be a good start... i'm looking for a pump for the well? I have a deep water well? would a hand pump work? kind of deep? seriously?
on a silly note.. my crank radio almost sprains my arm.lots of cranks for 30 minutes of news.. and it cranks hard.LOL
Yes a hand pump would work... as in a bucket on a rope around an axle.freeman » 14 Sep 2022, 5:06 am » wrote: ↑ I remember ads for a quite small windmill (probably from Mother Earth News in the early 1970s), that rather than being a water pump was an air compressor. The air hose was rigged to a sealed well head and compressed the air inside the casing, pushing down on the water surface thereby forcing the water up the tubing and into a gravity tank above ground. I've looked for it several times since but never found anything like it. As I remember the company was called "Little Geysers" and might have been an Amish outfit. I think they also had an attachment for it they called "Posi-pond Pumper" that allowed it to pump out of a pond.
it was memorial day 1981 when I first heard that a nuclear bomb implodes before exploding the devastation delivered. That got my brain to thinking what triggers the destruction at implosion was pulling the neutrons between protons and electrons of molecular content in the vicinity of the device causing a short circuit in the gaseous characteristics in the atmosphere and organic results present vaporizing instantly.Skans » 12 Sep 2022, 3:02 pm » wrote: ↑ If you live inside of a city, you're screwed. So, most of Middle America would be spared. Unless you live right in a big city, there really is nothing to worry about when it comes to a nuclear war.
She's got a deep well, likely with 4" diameter casing - 6" tops if it is for residential water.LibDave » 14 Sep 2022, 5:16 am » wrote: ↑ Yes a hand pump would work... as in a bucket on a rope around an axle.

4-wheel UTV's are what we need in the Country - no roads necessary.
Food? Every person who is self-reliant has a stockpile of food, seeds, etc.
Antibiotics? No problem, stock up on Fishmox. https://fishmoxfishflex.com/collections ... ntibiotics
It's 2022, Sole, and everyone by now knows exactly how a nuclear weapon works. Pakis are making them in back alleys along with guns, knives and daal chawal.omh » 14 Sep 2022, 5:30 am » wrote: ↑ it was memorial day 1981 when I first heard that a nuclear bomb implodes before exploding the devastation delivered. That famous electromagnetic pulse during detonation imploding action resulting in an equal and opposite explosion. Why when in designing the atomic bomb there were scientists thinking the whole atmosphere would ignite and destroy the whole planet because all science depends on relative time semantics instead of actual time is stationary event horizons between results mutually evolving in series parallel proximity now.

If a nuclear airburst off went on the north side of Boston at least you can say you’re vaxxed.Blackvegetable » 15 Sep 2022, 10:08 am » wrote: ↑ More people died from adverse reactions to the covid vaccine.
Or, from covid itself - we survived. A country boy will survive.Blackvegetable » 15 Sep 2022, 10:08 am » wrote: ↑ More people died from adverse reactions to the covid vaccine.
I was being sarcastic, people.Skans » 15 Sep 2022, 10:37 am » wrote: ↑ Or, from covid itself - we survived. A country boy will survive.
I was being serious, people.
You wore out your plausible denial excuse long time ago, decades even. I dedicate this next sentence to Al Gore and Michael Moore's Inconvenient truth,
the date counts human intellectual counting rotations of the planet, orbiting cycles of lunar phases new moon to new moon, solstices, equinoxes, solstices to equinoxes each revolution the planet makes evolving is never same total sum present forward, currently here.

Me 2. Three separate basic models. Horizontal blades, vertical blades, s rotor. I always thought the s rotor showed more efficiency than the other two for low air speed conditions.freeman » 14 Sep 2022, 5:06 am » wrote: ↑ I remember ads for a quite small windmill (probably from Mother Earth News in the early 1970s), that rather than being a water pump was an air compressor.
