Sure he was. Making light of the fact well loved classic characters are being replaced by historically disadvantaged minorities then using the backlash for marketing. The whole thing is humorous. Mulan live action was ruined because they chose not to include a certain dragon that was voiced by an African American. Didn't see those complaints given much airtime as they didn't fit an agenda.

Well since the B in lgbtqrstuv stands for Bisexual, a term which promotes the hateful notion that there are only two sexes, perhaps they can change it to bestiality? Gotta get rid of the 2S thing too as it also implies binary sex. With gender being fluid and transient, can one really be gay or lesbian? The whole thing falls on even the most cursory application of logic.

In other words they are terrible mixed up so they use politics as a vehicle.

I don’t  really care if a character is portrayed or displayed as white or black when doing remakes.  unless it changes the characters traits.

One example where it didn’t matter was Tom Clancy’s Wothoit Remorse.  The main character, John Clark was white in both the novels and early movies.  When Netflix did the movie he was black.  Who cares?

One example that I didn’t like was from the Stand.  Larry Underwood was a white guy who was a singer and finally got his first number 1 hit.  But, he sang like a black singer.  All through in the original story the running joke was no one connected his name with the song.  When CBS did a series a few years ago Larry was played by a black guy and it removed all that joking around.  If you never read the book or saw the original mini series you would never know. 
 

Couldn't care less about a black little mermaid. Could perhaps have found a better looking actress, this poor things eyes are further apart than Stacy Abraham's front teeth.
