That is a very good take. Casting is key, also, diversity need not happen in every role. I don’t even see the need for remakes of the original was so good.Huey » 16 Sep 2022, 10:43 am » wrote: ↑ I don’t really care if a character is portrayed or displayed as white or black when doing remakes. unless it changes the characters traits.
One example where it didn’t matter was Tom Clancy’s Wothoit Remorse. The main character, Mahon Clark was shot in both the novels and early movies. When Netflix did the movie he was black. Who cares?
One example that I didn’t like was from the Stand. Larry Underwood was a white guy who was a singer and finally got his first number 1 hit. But, he sang like a black singer. All through the original story the running joke was no one connected his name with the song. When CBS did a series a few years ago Larry was played by a black guy and it removed all that joking around. If you never read the book or saw the original mini series you would never know.
Jackie Robinson was a real person. Tge Little Mermaid is a fictional character. Do you see the difference, high IQ nitwit Nazi?GHETTOBLASTER » 16 Sep 2022, 10:09 am » wrote: ↑ I heard they plan on doing a remake of the Jackie Robinson Story with Justin Bieber in the starring role....
Pasta, you're the biggest racist on this forum. You used the image of a black woman and Disney to solicit and entice others to make disparaging remarks about her color. You knew this before you wrote the OP. You wanted this, wanted racist comments. I give you credit for being a bit more calculated in your racism than say, FOS or Ghetoblaster, but the three of you are really not that much different. All three of you seek to disparage the Negro, just in different ways.Pastafarian » 16 Sep 2022, 12:59 pm » wrote: ↑ Jackie Robinson was a real person. Tge Little Mermaid is a fictional character. What’s Bieber gonna be? The first Canadian to play baseball? Sounds boring.

Little black girls- need to be included? But they are! In Disney -There are a bunch of them. I draw the line at the tranny's.Skans » 16 Sep 2022, 1:03 pm » wrote: ↑ Pasta, you're the biggest racist on this forum. I call you a Negro-hating racist for soliciting racist remarks against Blacks. As for the image of the "Mermaid" in your OP, it is likely computer animation.Pastafarian » 16 Sep 2022, 1:08 pm » wrote: ↑ I posted the nonsense your side spews.
What is the big deal over a Black mermaid? Besides she is a cutie.
Ya, call me a racist for your ****. Sounds about right for you low self esteem types.
She’s a cutie.Neo » 16 Sep 2022, 10:46 am » wrote: ↑ Couldn't care less about a black little mermaid. Could perhaps have found a better looking actress, this poor things eyes are further apart than Stacy Abraham's front teeth.

Catch and release.
You’d lose your **** mind if they cast a white girl for a live action Princess and the Frog. You should be advocating for more Princesses of color rather than black washing a character that was animated white.Pastafarian » 16 Sep 2022, 1:08 pm » wrote: ↑ I posted the nonsense your side spews.

In fairness, *** HAVE to practice cultural appropriation. Their own "culture" is petri dish material. The only things "culturally black" are abortion, cussin' in front of grammaw, looting, and ergophobia.righteous » 16 Sep 2022, 7:40 am » wrote: ↑ SAME PRINCIPLE AS MAKING A MOVIE AFTER THE FAMOUS ROBERT CONRAD SERIES, WILD WILD WEST AND USING A PORCH MONKEY TO PORTRAY HIS CHARACTER.
DOESN'T CLICK
THESE PRODUCERS DON'T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO COME UP WITH NEW MATERIAL TO PRODUCE NEW MOVIES FOR *** TO STAR IN.
THEY SHOULD START WITH A NEW MOVIE ABOUT THE RIOTS OF 2020. THEY COULD EMPLOY BOATLOADS OF PORCH MONKEYS TO STAR IN IT.
Joking! But if the horse enjoys it, is it ok? Hahahroadkill » 16 Sep 2022, 9:04 am » wrote: ↑ He did...retard.![]()

The little mermaid can be any culture. I’d be perfectly fine with an Asian mermaid.Cannonpointer » 16 Sep 2022, 1:25 pm » wrote: ↑ Why do you feel everything white needs to be blackwashed to make y'all feel worthy?d
