Japan is not Russia and Putin is not Tojo, or Hirohito.Skans » 20 Sep 2022, 10:13 am » wrote: ↑ Do you see any scenario where Putin accepts defeat in Ukraine? We had to nuke the flesh off of Hirohito's citizens 2 times before he would accept defeat.
I'll go with the latter. Because, that's what I would do.Xavier_Onassis » 21 Sep 2022, 3:35 pm » wrote: ↑ Japan is not Russia and Putin is not Tojo, or Hirohito.
The Japanese actually offered to surrender after the first bomb, but the interpreters that the US had did not speak the elegant flowery language of the Emperor and the offer was misunderstood, some say. Other say that the second bomb used a different technology than the first and the R&D guys wanted to be sure to test them both.
Idiots are making this about a man, just like they do with Trump. Men are mortal, fragile, replaceable. It's ideas that endure. So much effort attacking Putin personally yet they rarely attack his message. We should have negotiated.
If Putin uses nukes it will be the same reasons we did. To save loss of life that would occur with a full invasion and to send a warning to nato. Ironic.Xavier_Onassis » 21 Sep 2022, 3:35 pm » wrote: ↑ Japan is not Russia and Putin is not Tojo, or Hirohito.

Implementation of the Minsk Accords of 2014 after 8 years of Ukraine flouting them.
Here's some information, you can decide for yourself:
Look I know that Ukraine actually welcomed the Nazi's during WW ii, aster STALIN had starved so many of them with his 'collectivization' policy. I do study history!Cannonpointer » 21 Sep 2022, 9:37 pm » wrote: ↑ Implementation of the Minsk Accords of 2014 after 8 years of Ukraine flouting them.
An end to the pogroms being carried out in Ukraine on Russia's border by ACTUAL Nazis, carrying swastikas, in Ukrainian military units.
There were also some water issues and miscellaneous **** that I believe was related to the treaty Ukraine was violating.
Hey, they are not showing that on CNN or even Fox! You are a traitor for even suggesting Putin may have had a valid complaint in donbas.Cannonpointer » 21 Sep 2022, 9:37 pm » wrote: ↑ Implementation of the Minsk Accords of 2014 after 8 years of Ukraine flouting them.
