Capitalism has had great success, and has lifted people out of poverty, but it has limitations and fatal flaws.  Here are four failures of capitalism

1.  The profit motive where it has no business being present
Perhaps the best example of this is big pharma.  When vaccines were first introduced, they were intended for public health and safety, not profit.  Jonas Salk and other physicians famously refused to profit from vaccine discoveries.  In corrupted capitalism run amok, profit is the ONLY motivation for creating/distributing vaccines, and the original utility of them (public health) is perverted and lost.. thanks Capitalism.

2.  Innovation is stifled
When solving problems becomes detrimental to profits under capitalism, problems will not be solved.  Look at the giant Pacific garbage patch which is poisoning marine life -and thus every life form up the food chain, including humans- with toxic plastic garbage.  There is no answer under capitalism for this pollution, thus Capitalism is literally poisoning and killing us all.  Thanks, capitalism.

3.  Quality production is discouraged
Capitalism depends on a never ending cycle of purchase, consumption, disposal, purchase.  In the previous point, I demonstrated that the disposal portion of the cycle is conveniently ignored, and that problem becomes exacerbated by planned obsolescence.  Capitalism creates junk designed to break down quickly in order to speed the cycle and encourage faster and more purchase and consumption,  there is no profit in building commodities to last.

4.  The abundance paradox
As technology and automation increase, production of goods increase to the point that there is an over saturation of commodities on the market with not enough buyers.  Rather than distribute this excess of wealth among those who produce it, Capitalism demands that it be stolen from the workers/taxpayers and hoarded via the function of periodic “bailouts”.  This is simply robbery of the working class .. thanks Capitalism

5) creative destruction. capitalism undermines tradition, nation, and even purpose itself by imposing profit margin as all that matters.

Culturally, capitalism seems to displace all values and virtues and replace them with materialism and greed

Capitalism, like socialism, depends on a top down authoritarian domination of spontaneous free trade through regulations, taxation, trading boards, watchdog agencies, zoning laws, etc. socialism is likely even more stifling to free trade than capitalism, but the one advantage socialism has is its potential to occasionally put human life, rather than profit, as the paramount raison detre

When you point out problems without offering solutions, you become part of the problem... Thanks free speech

I am not offering solutions, my point is that blind worship of capitalism is folly.

Sucks for you that you could never figure out how to prosper in a capitalist country.  Winners rejoice, losers cry and blame others for their failures.

Intellectual deflection as usual from a conspirator that doesn't want everyone having an equal comprehension of life in real time. Chain of command on human emotional bondage to the beliefs actual life is too difficult for anyone to understand without social consensus of we, they, them, those people believe life is more than genetic results being eternally separated now, naturally here.

the way a person prospers in THIS system is not by producing anything. It is via rent seeking. I prosper, and i produce nothing...i just collect rent on property that i technically own.

think about what this implies on a macro scale. We outsource all our production capabilities to a potentially hostile foreign country.

i mean think long term about this...

infinity vs eternity when limited to mutually evolving as reproductively occupying the moment. Exponential actions and reactions being equal at the universal scale of occupying space now evolving in series parallel displacement as specifically alive geographically here, geometrically alive proportionately living now within thermodynamic results in plain sight of navigating around one another as positioned in specificity of numbers existing forward one ancestor at a time.

Failure of capitalism is
1. dishonesty within each person alive
2. hope, faith, chairity governing routes to power, wealth, fame
3. distorting actual life by social consensus
4. Rules to order of laws demanding everyone comply to ideas manifesting gods, God, Satan, good vs evil, legal vs ethics, evolution theory vs creationism theology, intellect is a higher form of evolving outside the time living only happens occupying space as conceived to replace last 4 generations before being added the 5th dimension of ancestral progression since inception to conceived numbers present.

Not all outsourcing is bad.  I have no problem outsourcing mercury refining and lead recycling to the Chinese.  But, I also champion  encouraging more manufacturing in the US.

Renting real estate can be more work than many give credit for.  Try owning some small-bay warehouses/flex space.  The tenants give you grief over signing leases.  Then, when their lease runs out and they don't want to sign up for another 3 years and instead opt to go month-to-month.  Finally, they will send you a parting email after you sold the warehouses bitching about how much the new owner is raising their rent and how they got screwed for not signing the lease you offered to them.  In any event, someone has to create and maintain the places where people conduct their business.  A lot actually goes into this, unless you just have the cash to buy existing, leased up properties (which come with their own problems).

i can assure you, renting is not much work.

the most work happens when you have to evict people.

but you can simply be careful about who you rent to and avoid that problem almost entirely.

Depends on the type of property, I suppose. Some require more active management than others.

anyway a finance and commerce only economy cannot survive, and that is what this system has devolved to, and that is because of so called 'market forces'.

in the long term, it is very stupid. and the only way it could have been avoided is if the state stepped in an prevented this transformation.

We actually have quite a bit more manufacturing in this country than many would believe.  Look at the boat-building industry for one - tons of small manufacturers making boats and boating equipment here in the US.

it is a huge error to assume that criticism of capitalism only come from jealous poor people. lol. a HUGE error. Especially since actually the biggest pushback against capitalism literally comes from the billionaire class....
