It's nothing new.  It's just modern day McCarthyism. 

But what's the difference?  The pissed off white supremacist christian nationalists who are unhappy with the lot they've dealt themselves in their sniveling lives, don't have communists (read communist Jews) to target anymore...so they just target anybody who isn't a white supremacist christian nationalist.  This is the only difference.  That and they have replaced the old **** up nationalist McCarthy with the new **** up nationalist Trump.  That's it.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

The sad part is that the modern day McCarthyites have taken it a step further and are willing to tear apart the fabric for this democratic republic, free, fair, and secure elections in order to rid the country of anybody who isn't a white supremacist christian nationalist.  But in reality this country has been on the way out since Vietnam, so it's no big surprise.  The people, after all, put bigot, racist, anti-Semite Richard Nixon ("Those goddamn New York Jews are doing it.") in the Oval Office twice. 

And as is historically typical, it's the people who will destroy it, not the politicians.

Hint it isn't intellect over instinct control by power of suggesting now isn't eternity. academia, arts and entertainment, politics, religions, social justifications, consenting adults protecting ideas life should be more than limited to only evolving forward now using economic theory against each individual alive..

The one thing new, seems to me, is the undermining of American elections by candidates themselves. I assumed it would end with Trump, who started it, but
Republicans running for major office are echoing him, suggesting, even saying directly, they will only accept results that elect them. The system can't survive if this continues.

I don't disagree with you jack, however the reason why this is a problem is because there are so many Americans who are either **** bigots, **** ignorant, or who are assholes only interested in what's in it for them on the very short term.

PS - One other major similarity...

McCarthy and Trump...both have the severe level hostile/malignant narcissistic personality disorder.

Both satisfy every diagnostic criteria in the list. Clinically it's pretty remarkable.
