Over the years I've noticed some people have been critical of "Capitalism" saying it's xyz.

According to the OP video it is "Communism, Marxism, and Socialism" that are xyz.

Why do leftists project their own sins onto others?

Because they are never accurate about anything specifically evolving in plain sight. Why reasonable doubt is part of law and ordering people to die saving idealists cradle to grave.

I don't really understand why the creator of this video is so enmeshed with calling hard assets "God's money" like its connected to the supernatural. Obama let Lehman Brothers fail, the common refrain at that time was "too big to fail". If the administration didn't bail out the banks the entire banking system would have failed. In other words, it was to save capitalism with regulation. Capitalism hasn't been practiced in its lassiez faire practice since the Progressive era.
I can explain the great recession briefly if it would help. There is an asset called Mortgage Backed Securities or MBSs. Basically, banks would take a large pool of mortgages, slice them up, and sell them to investors. The idea being that if you spread the debt around, they would be less risky. This led to banks loaning to "subprime" borrowers or borrowers with bad credit history. A turn in the market led to the lack of available payment for those assets from these "subprime" borrowers and brought the entire mortgage system down. The higher supply of houses made homes less valuable leading to a crisis where banks didn't have enough capital to cover their losses on the foreclosed homes. Hence, banks failed.
Now there have been reforms. Banks have to separate banking and investment activities so banks themselves won't be affected by the insolvency of investment activities. Also, there are "stress tests" to see if a bank has enough assets in case a crisis of capital happens again. If we lived in pure capitalism, we would be waiting in bread lines right now.

Nothing is easier than defending the status quo.

"God's money"...He meant the intrinsic value.  Precious metals have a usefulness...funny money does not.

Saving banks or any other businesses that aren't efficient is the opposite of capitalism.

The OP conflates two separate issues.

1. Capitalism;
2. Fiat currency.

Capitalism INTRODUCED fiat currency.

Capitalism, like horses, cats, and thunder clouds, is what it DOES - not what we puff out our chests and claim about it.

Here's one thing that I can tell you capitalism DOES. It shows up to the party with it's favorite date: socialism.

Show me one capitalist nation on the face of the earth in the history of history which does not have a significant socialist cohort. You cannot.

Further, though we might argue about what capitalism IS, I can prove what it ISN'T. It isn't free enterprise. It attacks free enterprise.

That is why EVERY capitalist society practices socialism. Well - ONE of the reasons.

Capitalism and socialism are both state-sponsored economic systems. They are traveling companions - like love and marriage. They go together like a horse and carriage. This I'll tell ya, brother: Ya can't have one without the other.

I agree with the video that gold and silver are God's money.

Right.

That's my point.

It is what it DOES - not what we say it does.

Here is what it DOES:

They must go through numerous growth stages, each fraught with pitfalls, in order to bring their enterprises to scale and receive the advantages which come with that condition.

What gives Wall Street corporations their advantage - access to virtually unlimited venture capital - is government sanction of the invitation-only money markets. Those markets are created by legislation and given the official imprimatur of government through licensing under SEC regulatiion. The advantage is confered by government, which is picking winners and losers by empowering a few at the expense of the many.

If government did not legislate the NYSE and other money markets into existence and officially recognize them, at the expense of the many others who are disallowed, then FREE ENTERPRISE would naturally occur. Instead, we have a state engineered economy, with the state deciding who can play what role, when, and where.

Your rich dad poor dad video is telling you what capitalism IS - not what it is not.

I will tell you what capitalism is NOT. It is not free enterprise. We already have term for free enterprise:

Free enterprise.

"Between Capitalism and Socialism there is no relationship of true and false. Both are instincts, and have the same historical rank, but one of them belongs to the Past, and one to the Future. Capitalism is a product of Rationalism and Materialism, and was the ruling force of the 19th century. Socialism is the form of an age of political Imperialism, of Authority, of historical philosophy, of superpersonal political imperative.“ —  Francis Parker Yockey, book Imperium: The Philosophy of History and Politics

Source: https://quotepark.com/quotes/1856866-fr ... -no-relat/

capitalism is not an 'economic philosophy'. It is a state of mind. Specifically, it represents a love of conflict and competition in the service of superior interests of meritocracy. Much like how knights of the middle ages would fight to the death to determine the 'winner'

perhaps the winner is indeed the better knight...but meanwhile you have a lot of dead knights.

in a world where the technological circumstances are such that one well armed man can kill hundreds all by himself, that works out fine.

but you are ignoring modern technology. Since the development of the gun, socialism is the only pragmatic option.

wrong. the primary cause of the recession was alterations of the community reinvestment act, which FORCED banks to give loans to black people, even if they had bad credit.

if banks were allowed to deal with credit scores objectively, then their high risk adventures probably would have worked fine.
