One of the foundational ideas of the economic policy of national socialists was that currency is not backed by gold or anything like that...it is backed by power.peepee » 21 Nov 2022, 10:53 am » wrote: ↑ ...i will practically guarantee you that the republicrat-level monetary ignoramus in the video believes 'murcans once lived under some honest 'gold/silver standard'...![]()

hideous system of 'money creation and issuance', you dense monetary ignoramus...i have explained this many times before but you register as a retard as to the MIQ [monetary ignoramus quotient]
It doesn't matter you disingenuous schmuck. A statement was made (not that a case was actually made) for the Community Reinvestment Act being the cause of the 2008 meltdown. It's ****. The mortgage banks and mortgage brokers loved the Community Reinvestment Act. With all those additional clients for new mortgages and mortgage refinancing, their exorbitant fee income skyrocketed. And they knew they would be selling the paper to the investment banks for their bundled loan paper derivative products, and they wouldn't have to deal with any foreclosures. And...asshole, when Bear Stearns went belly up, followed shortly thereafter by Lehman Bros., both were so leveraged to the hilt that they went under even though 98% of US mortgages were still not upside down. The mortgage defaults (regardless of the skin color of the borrower) didn't kill the investment banks, their reckless business practices killed them.FOS » 21 Nov 2022, 8:18 am » wrote: ↑
Those were the bad loans you are talking about.
And who were the people who started defaulting in mass? Duh...those low credit blacks.
Of course the people giving mortgages loved the act. It dramatically increased their market. That isn't a point. It also caused the recession.IkeBana » 21 Nov 2022, 11:10 am » wrote: ↑ It doesn't matter you disingenuous schmuck. And Republican deregulation of the investment banking business made it all possible, not the Community Reinvestment Act.

Saving banks or any other businesses that aren't efficient is the opposite of capitalism.

We're you lying or just ill-informed? Or maybe you're just two faced...out of one face you say the banks were FORCED to provide mortgage loans to low income families, while out of your other face you say they loved being able to provide mortgages to low income families.FOS » 20 Nov 2022, 4:05 pm » wrote: ↑ the primary cause of the recession was alterations of the community reinvestment act, which FORCED banks to give loans to black people, even if they had bad credit
No fool. There were multiple agents involved in this. The people who simply wanted to sell houses had every incentive to ignore credit scores.IkeBana » 21 Nov 2022, 12:23 pm » wrote: ↑ So...when you said this...

Anybody who trusts anything FUZ says is a **** fool.

You're conflating two different markets and two different systems. The CEO's of the investment banks with the mortgage writers. The mortgage companies loved the CRA because of the fees they could ring up. The invesent banks loved the availability of cheap, low rated, sub-prime mortgage paper that they could use to build their A rated loan bundle products.FOS » 21 Nov 2022, 12:27 pm » wrote: ↑ No fool. The people who relied on the banls operating well...like the ceos of banks...were perhaps not fond of this rule. and they would have lost their asses if they werent bailed out. But they were bailed out and probably knew they would be.
