I don’t think there is an ideal, but I can pick a few from history that I like.

ancient Sparta, Ancient Rome
modern Scandinavian countries, Sweden , Belgium, Denmark, Wales etc..
America circa 1955

Any ancient civilization was run by tyrants and dictatorships. Hollywood does a great job in romanticizing it all, but it was not a happy time for civilization.

Flour is a key element in a crepe or a cake or a cookie.

Just not the only one.

The fact that many desserts have flour doesn't make flour a dessert.

Sparta enslaved the rest of the Peloponnesian peninsula. Not ideal, as it forced them to be - well, extremely Spartan. The rest - yeah. Sparta, not so much. They literally thought of nothing but war - they were the klingons.

You say tyrant like it's a bad thing.

Everyone in power is a tyrant - HOWEVER they get there. The question is, tyrant for whom. Tyrant to what end.

if you delve into esoteric sparta knowledge...you will find that they LOVED to be bribed. This seems like a common problem with people who live overly ascetic lives.

Heavy set gal, was she? Some kind of sea beast?

Did you ever get close enough to see whether she had a blow hole?

Gills, maybe?

Short and quite heavy.  I was friendly with her, but not in a sexual way.  She worked at a laundry facility in a hotel that I once worked at.
