Federal Income Tax is unnecessary and unjust.   It should be completely eliminated.  We should have excise taxes and import taxes instead.

We could defund 80% of all government, except the military.  The military budget could be cut by 60% without weakening our defensive capabilities.

Let's call government exactly what it is - a place to warehouse huge segments of lazy, unproductive, ethnic populations.

what were the taxes prior to 15th Amendment in 1913 when Woodrow Wilson administration enacted personal income tax to be a temporary event?

First, it was the 16th Amendment that instituted the Income Tax, not the 15th Amendment.

Second, as I previously said, revenue was raised mainly through excise taxes, tariffs, customs duties and public land sales. The federal government had relatively few expenses compared to today and did not have as much need to raise large amounts of money.

we have maintained unconstitutional standing armies at the public expense for 100 years

Article I, Section 8, Clause 12:[The Congress shall have Power . . . ] To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years; . . .

Oops. Gee I made a mistake on which integer I typed in. Good to see your critical thinking skills went up a bit.

shame that you haven't reached your brain's full potential to navigate real time and self evident living as eternally separated now, yet. If you did, then you are being dishonest with everyone else.

The DEPTH! The searing, towering intellect!

Gosh, Skeeter - ya think? Image Image

A tax - ANY tax - is a discouragement. Whatever is taxed is discouraged.

What government wants to discourage earnings? Only one bent on destruction.

In fairness, nostradumbass is famous for predicting the FUTURE, not the past.

Oh, I didn't vote for him a second time in 96, that is why I didn't remember he ran. His bubble burst in 92. In 92 I didn't like GHB discussing tying national debt to real estate investments which was the same thing then as bitcoin become lately and lets not forget 2008 or 09.

I didn't like Bill Clinton because he would reverse himself one campaign stop to another and the media covered it up same way they did Obama in 08 and 12, with Hillary in 16, Biden in 2020.
