His supporters spread lies about the effectiveness of the vaccine and whether or not Trump is culpable depends on the fact that he would not refute those claims. Well it's nice that you are using actual news sources. I'm not going to do the complete research on this but the commitments you posted state the position that if the scientific community at the CDC and other world class health facilities approved a vaccine they would take it. I think what they are referring to is some of the treatments that Donald Trump pushed as a snake oil salesman and yes, he did say something like drinking bleach might cure Covid. That is the remarks in proper context. Biden and Harris didn't question the Moderna (a vaccine I've received three doses of as mandated by hospital policy) and Pfizer vaccines that have proven effective. Look at the history of smallpox if you think vaccines don't work and do the science. I could elaborate on how mRNA vaccines work and that they have been under research for years. Trump suggested people drink bleach to cure Covid. That was the point of their remarks. Also, explain to me why those who voted for Trump were much more unlikely to take the vaccine than those that voted for Biden in the 2020 election cycle. And please, try not to argue with me the definition of a vaccine. That's probably stretching your pro Trump argument a little too far.

There is scientific evidence that masks keep virus particles from reaching the body through nasal and oral pathways. I think the world wide and long term use of them in the medical practice proves that. But I guess the Easter bunny exists.

I'm not providing a link. The use of masks goes back at least 20 years in the medical practice for anyone who has been in a hospital or the wide spread use of them in places like China for dealing with a range of airborne diseases. It's just commonsense. Masks are used, that really doesn't require medical study at this point. It is pretty well founded practice.

The only purpose of mask is to protect others from your infections.  That's why surgeons wear them.  It was Joseph Lister who first discovered the danger of opportunistic infections.  The numbers were pulled together by Florence Nightingale and used to prove that infections killed more soldiers than war wounds.
