As a life long Atheist, I have come to the conclusion that people will worship as they chose.  I only draw exception when innocents are harmed.  Some guy believes the TV is talking to him.  No harm, not my concern.

This is not the first. I dunno why they are reporting such fake news. There have been homo priests for a long time...especially in the Anglican church

Religion, Like so many other aspects of society is often used to control and oppress.  You'll find a bunch of control freaks in any local church.

Yes.   It's difficult to get adults to kill children.  But if you can convince people 'God' told you to do it, it's all good.

I read a really good book on the subject.  "The Human Christ."  It goes and demonstrates how Jesus was used through history to justify whatever societal needs were present.  Jesus is an avatar.

The point I'm trying to make is that religion is a tool.  Sociopaths are going to pick a reason to be assholes and religion is one of the more effective methods.
