I've seen this video before, as well as heard this argument from other sources.
How are we supposed to convince people that are having these "feelings" to come forward and seek help? How also are we to identify people with these "struggles" beforehand if they won't come forward on their own?
The only answer to both questions is... normalization of the behavior, which IS basically what this argument advocates.
Any lessening of the stigma associated with abusing children is in itself normalizing the behavior, which is the end game here for some apparently.
Maybe if we as a society would drop the
"anything goes if it makes you feel good" mentality and get back to teaching our kids discipline, right from wrong, respect for authority, and that there are consequences for your actions, we wouldn't be seeing the explosion of pedo abuse cases (among other issues) like we are.
Getting the parents back to raising their kids instead of the damn internet and the media doing it for them would go a long way in curbing the upward trends of the nastiest aspects of a broken society.
Coddling people that have urges to abuse children isn't the answer.
Letting them organize and advocate is the right approach, according to that enabling piece of **** xavier.
I DO have to thanl the garbage, though. He proved I'm not just whitling dixie, here. They really are that stupid.
