"Should Be" from a Republican politician means ****. Since we already know that when one of these seditionists says "will definitely be" means nothing. And McCarthy has nothing. Because he has compromised himself so badly with his own conference in order to get the position, that he is the weakest House Speaker in the history of the Republic.

Prove it.
SS and Medicare as an excuse for refusing to raise the debt didn't happen a single time in the four years that Trump was in the Oval Office. Nothing the government did with SS or Medicare was any different during the Trump criminal enterprise than it was during any Democratic administration. So if your statement is true, and SS and Medicare have been raided for years, Republicans have been just as responsible for it as Democrats.

Trump raised the debt by a third. The debt is the result of Trump's failures.

A debt ceiling is not a ceiling if you can raise it anytime you wish.
Today, we are 31.5 Trillion in debt. No end in sight.
What is the Dem solution ?

1. Mandatory Spending = 63% of present budget.
2. Discretionary Spending = 30% of present budget.
SS & M/care are in the 'Mandatory' category.
Here is my proposal--
Amputate Discretionary Spending until 0 deficit is reached.
Could you live with that ?
