In your OP you had it the other way around... that Trump said he told the crowd Pence needed to hang and then they started the chant, which isn't true.

Also, there is no way to know if Trump's "deserves it" comment was meaning that Pence literally deserved to hang, or that Pence deserved the reception he was receiving from the angry crowd... if Trump ever actually said it at all in the first place.

Like I said, it sounds like hearsay... just like Trump attacking the secret service agents and throwing a hamburger.

To many "ifs and buts" and "I heard it from someone else's" to say either way.

Calling Pence a ****** on the phone certainly isn't a crime either.
