Let's get this straight.  When the Great Salt Bay Community School Social Worker provided the "chest binder" to the 13 year old girl and told her that he was not going to tell her parents and that she did not need to tell them either, he was providing legal confidentiality information to that student.  Minors in the State of Main have legal rights to confidentiality which includes parents and/or guardians.

The Great Salt Bay School Social worker was not only providing direct service help to this student, he was protecting the student's legal right to receive care on a confidential basis.

Without parental/guardian permission a minor in the State of Maine can be tested and treated for STD's, tested for HIV and receive counseling and information before and after the test.

Minors in the State of Maine have the right to an abortion if they can provide their own written and informed consent, and have ONE of the following:
- written consent of a parent, guardian or OTHER ADULT FAMILY MEMBER.
- written consent and counseling from a licensed provider, doctor, nurse, or approved counselor.  All abortion clinics in Maine have licensed providers who can provide this counseling.
- written consent of a judge

Without parental/guardian permission a minor in the State of Maine can consent to mental health counseling for:
- alcohol problems
- drug addition or abuse
- emotional or psychological difficulties*

*which would include difficulty with gender identity

The only person who did anything wrong in this case is the asshole mother who went running to the **** media.  Did the asshole mother think about how this publicity would impact her daughter?  **** no, she did not.

I'm sure she was more concerned about some fruitcake grooming her daughter and telling her to keep it "their little secret" instead... as she should have been.

This is another case of the system wanting to control the kid over the parent.

I wonder if the "social worker" offered her any titles on giving head from the library while he was at it?

If the teachers and students know, the parents are entitled to the same information.

Lawyers disagree with sane people all across the fruited plain when they go into court sniveling about a stolen election.  So let's not hold up lawyers as some sort of arbiters of the truth.  Lawyers are in it to win because the more they win, the more money they make.  The school's action and the school social worker's service are well within the minor's legal rights statutes of the State of Maine.

Alethophobia, always fearing the truth, wants us to believe that the administration of the Salt Bay Community School picked some unsuspecting, malleable, emotionally vulnerable little girl out of the student body and with intent, "groomed" her to be trans.  "Grooming" of course when used within the parameters of child sexual abuse is not talking a kid into rejecting her gender and picking a different gender...it is subjecting a kid to influence that will allow a pedophile to abuse the kid without ketting caught at it.  So the assholes herein don't even know what language to use.  It sounds to me like school personnel were attempting to help this girl navigate her way through what can be a minefield of middle school cruelty.  Typically most harshly perpetrated by middle school girls.  The boys typically don't get really bad until high school.

A minor in Maine has the right to disclose information and withold information as the child wishes...because, it's the child's information, nobody else's.

Children are legally minors. Parents are responsible and can be held civilly culpable for the actions of their dependent children. As such they have a right to know anything that might effect their child. The state has been eroding parental rights slowly for decades, it's long past time this trend be fought and resisted.

Minors have confidentiality rights in all 50 states and have for decades...so lets not be blaming this on recent events or some **** suggestion that it has something to do with Trumpism.  Age is the only difference between any of the states and the average age across the country for mental health confidentiality is 12 years.

Just what some poor 15 year old girl who's daddy, the christian church elder and police sergeant, has been raping her since she was 11, needs is for the school social worker, to go running to daddy to see if she's lying.

I just said the usurpation of parental rights has been a slow and incremental process over the last few decades. When I was in elementary school the nurse couldn't give a Tylenol without parental consent and approval. Now they are hiding gender dysphoria. Also concealing unsafe and often illegal activities like drug addiction, alcohol use, and sex with adults. This needs to be reversed, parental rights restored. Only exception should be cases of suspected abuse that is being actively investigated by law enforcement.

And we all have Hillary and the Obama's for their detrimental belief that "it takes a village" (read that as government) to raise a child.
We've all heard stories about how the children in Nazi Germany would win praise and glory for turning in their parents as being opposed to Hitler's Third Reich.  It's no surprise that this is the precise path that libs like the Clintons, the Obamas, and the Bidens want to see this country changed into.
