Subarus Came to Be Seen as Cars for Lesbians
The reputation isn’t just a stereotype—it’s the result of a calculated, highly progressive ad campaign launched 20 years ago. “There was such an alignment of feeling, like [Subaru cars] fit with what lesbian women did,” says Paul Poux, who later conducted focus groups for Subaru. The marketers found that lesbian Subaru owners liked that the cars were good for outdoor trips, and that they were good for hauling stuff without being as large as a truck or SUV. “They felt it fit them, was a little drab and not too flashy,” says Poux.

You are not allowed near the Canyon road without all or 4 wheel, or chains in any amount of snow.

I put 240K on mine and it still goes! There's not too much to break on them.
I wasn't found being ignored, I was conceived to occupy space like everyone else that hasn't discovered their own missing links creating by doubting self evident displacement.

I actually heard the Subaru Outbacks are decent vehicles. Not my style, but they work.
