Who stands for America the Beautiful? Who is making you stand?Pastafarian » 14 Feb 2023, 10:37 am » wrote: ↑ Then why must people stand for “America tge beautiful” as well?
There is nothing that “requires” that you stand for the national anthem eitherMr.7 » 14 Feb 2023, 11:04 am » wrote: ↑ Who stands for America the Beautiful? Who is making you stand?
There is no flag or song protocol anywhere that requires a "civilian" to follow. And, as someone who served 26 years in the military, I can assure you I know what I am talking about.
isn't America The Beautiful same music as God Save the Queen with different lyrics? Didn't Phil Collins get sued over something like that by Prince?Mr. 7 » 14 Feb 2023, 11:04 am » wrote: ↑ Who stands for America the Beautiful? Who is making you stand?

Who said the must stand for that song?Pastafarian » 14 Feb 2023, 10:37 am » wrote: ↑ Then why must people stand for “America tge beautiful” as well?
America The Beautiful is not the national anthem. No one cares if you stand or sit for it. There is but one national anthem - The Star Spangled Banner. Stand for it, or be ridiculed and labeled anti-American by real Americans.Pastafarian » 14 Feb 2023, 10:37 am » wrote: ↑ Then why must people stand for “America tge beautiful” as well?
Actual Americans don't ridicule ancestors for their separate beliefs. Just civic minded people trying to govern time misleading ancestries all 5 generations present.Skans » 14 Feb 2023, 11:33 am » wrote: ↑ America The Beautiful is not the national anthem. How about the ex green beret that suggested that kaepernick take a knee instead of setting on the bench?Selaphobia » 14 Feb 2023, 11:28 am » wrote: ↑ I have no problem with them not standing.
I have a problem with them kneeling and using the US national anthem to call attention to the issues of racial inequality and police brutality.
WRONG VENUE
I smashed my big screen when Colin Kaepernick took his knee. Sept. 1, 2016. No more television for me.
In 2016 there we blacks at Burger King and McDonalds and mixed couples on my television set.
None of that applies to me or my neighborhood or my McDonalds or Burger King.
I don't want mixed couples and all that nonsense burning through my big screen.
